if you are into this kind of thing
I would but <achJAG-chooo> Amy Blue are playing the Camden Head on Thursday, timing sucks! you play a different night!
and the our experience with the headliners last time we played with them wasn't pleasant...so yeh.
a reason to practice I guess
bits of the drum kit more like...! though the bands we're playing with (I Am Vexed, Painting of Ships and 5 Cent Theatre) this time have all been really chatty and friendly which is a complete rarity! Or we're too battle scarred from the toilet circuit...
For those without facebook access at work where you playing and who with?
MARIA & THE MIRRORS
Tribal rhythms, twisted samples, and glorious, gutteral screaming. Two girls, one and half drum kits, one guy and a big box of effects! A truly original three piece who have previously graced Jamboree's stage for the opening night of now-legendary monthly fixture Static Hearts. Listen to '2000 years of Ketamine' and wait for your ears to bleed (and then thank you). And all this from a trio who look as sweet as their name sounds...

SLY & THE FAMILY DRONE
In his own words: "by applying destructive techniques to the magnetic tape, I was able to seriously affect the sonic qualities of recorded material.... the ‘warm’ warbles of wow and flutter from the tape transform into deep bass murmurs and spoken word becomes lost beneath a garbled layer of hiss. As the sub bass lines fluctuate in and out of the sonic field, the listener is challenged to search for hidden melodies that may or not be there"
Jahiz are a striking London two piece ambient noise project. A combination of defunct Atari generated drones, tape loops, microtonal midi apps and acoustic/electric instruments form the core of a live set of ambient textures that in any given moment can collapse into full-on awesome harsh noise.
£3 entry - 8pm-11pm (and then some)
we played with Maria nd the mirrors last time...two girls on 1 and a half drums and a guy with lots of gear. tHEY TOOK 2 HOURS TO SET UP
After they played the girls just left to join the party leaving the poor sod to lug the gear off...people started heckling US for being late!
So we helped the guy take take the stuff apart...the my former band b=mate had enough and went right up to them "you think i'm your fuckign slave 'cso I'm BLACK!!!???"...so yeh.
I had not realised this was your band or anything so I'm afraid I ain't going to be there. Sorry. :(
Hope it goes well. Which of the bands are yours?
usually just to other people doing/being into the same thing...

Want to see Sly & the Family Drone for starters.
