four weeks ago i might take this seriously.
nothing like death to bring back relevance

  • Totally with you on this.

I remember Bad coming out, but Dangerous was the first one to mean something to me. Still think it has some good shit on it.

  • I think

Dangerous is better than Bad, but the top 2 are Off The Wall and Thriller

  • The track list of Bad

    reads like a greatest hits!

    1. Bad
    2. Way You Make Me Feel
    3. Speed Demon
    4. Liberian Girl
    5. Just Good Friends
    6. Another Part Of Me
    7. Man In The Mirror
    8. I Just Can't Stop Loving You
    9. Dirty Diana
    10.Smooth Criminal
    11.Leave Me Alone

Not a bad song on it.
Though it was my favourite album from the ages of about 7 to 10, so I'm a bit biased.
Dangerous does have some stellar songs on it though, agreed.

  • I agree wholeheartedly

It bugs me the way this album gets consistently overlooked in favour of Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad, as if those were the only good albums he made and it was all downhill from there. 'Keep the Faith' must be one of the underrated songs he ever recorded. If he was going to release 9 singles off this album, he could have at least included this one. The rest of it is pretty awesome too. I love the slightly claustrophobic dancey songs like 'In The Closet' and 'She Drives Me Wild'. I can't bring myself to listen to 'Gone Too Soon' though, not because it's so poignant in the wake of his death, but because I feel like I've suddenly put on Barbra Streisand record by mistake. The album is also ridiculously long but that's not a big deal if the music is good. I'd give it a solid 8/10.
