Playlisted by Radio 1, out next week. Don't all rush at once!
Inspired work on the track name too.
That's quite alright!
I don't really know what else to say about it.
and worse than the original
Harmless though. Far From The Maddening Crowds (1997) by Chicane is a pretty ace album...
It's everything I expected it to be.
i prefer this version at least it's a little interesting..
sigur ros would have said yes at some point to them doing this..
... I recall hearing that they have a "universal use" contract on Takk which means (approximately) that anyone can pay to use it for anything they like without having to get the band's permission - hence it being on every fucking telly trailer going.
Whether that was an exercise in greed, stupidity or they had no choice I have no idea...
I would say Chicane had destroyed it if it didn't bear almost no semblance to the original.
I love making sweeping generalisations.
I can't make my mind up whether it's kind of ok because it's the Hopipola tune or it's so bad because of the standard run-of-the-mill dance treatment.
anyone who regularly watches tv will remember the hippos swimming in synch to this boring old durge..
We get it.
and not the new BBC idents?
rather than a band producing it and then the BBC using it.
Sandwiched between some woman singing the wrong words over Echo Beach and a rap version of a Madness song.
I wept a little.
that is truly, actually, fucking awful.
Club Hits: Vol 42
he just uploaded the video to his homepage.
and in typical chicane style, it's a rip off as well. of an old guardian TV ad- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3bfO1rE7Yg
we'll mash it up into some horrible autechre-esque noise!!
the We Are Scientists cover of the same song is very good.
There's the soundtrack for Athletics coverage sorted for another year.
