*Sobs into his spare ticket*
don't worry john I don't really mind.
was awesome. who agrees/has a setlist?
I don't have a setlist.
so, so good. I was pleasantly surprised at how much everyone knew the songs and was singing along, everything got a great reception.
Can't remember the exact setlist but it was a great one, I basically got everything I wanted except possibly Sanddollars and Fatalist Palmistry. I feel very happy now.
had a great day overall today, and seeing them were the icing on the cake really. i loved the new song yoni did on his own in the encore. really excited about the new album now.
If I hadn't a gig I'd be tempted by Brighton tonight as well. Was pleasently surprised with the singalong!
1. Still can’t believe how ace Why? were. Seeing a crowd like that singing along as well is always pleasantly surprising.
2. Munch Munch were let down by the sound. I’ve seen them before, and it was as if a lot of the joy had been sucked out of them. The guy on the left needed more of his vocals in the monitor so that he could hear just how out of tune he was too. Enjoyable, nonetheless.
3. IDArchitects (or whatever they were called) were awful. Imagine an ITV programme about a stage school in which some of the students form an ‘edgy’ non-curricular band. It was like the Orange Organics meets the bands that they have in Hollyoaks.
but was in bed by 9pm after overdoing it at the weekend.
Any thoughts on the new Garage?
so I can’t compare it to the previous incarnation, and I only went into the main room (it now has two further ones). It seemed pretty decent. They’re obviously still ironing out the creases (organisation and sound-wise), but they’ve got a really good set-up/backline, so there’s a lot of potential there. Despite the bar serving the usual soulless stuff at expensive prices, the staff were just about the friendliest and most efficient I’ve seen for a long time.
My concern is one of space planning. There is one male loo, which does have a decent provision, but it’s arranged like a long galley kitchen and is a tight squeeze. The main problem is at the entrance/exit, which is simply not big enough to cope with people coming in, people dropping their coats off, and people wanting to go outside for a cigarette.
some reason i wasn't feeling it as much as previous times i've seen them but it was still good, happy about the set list. Crushed Bones and By Torpedo Or Crohn's
the new garage is alright, ridiculous system for people who want to go outside and smoke though, i.e 1000000 million people in, 2 people out at a time.
they kinda need to sort that out - i didn't even want to smoke!!
Also they ran out of cider on tap (not in bottled form though)
Was indeed amazing. Singalong was so good and played the vast majority of songs I like. Funny that the drummer is moving to London.
