Fever Ray
Hows the album sounding to you lot now its been out for quite a while?
I've still not got round to getting it and kind of forgot it existed but there are some really nice remixes appearing now and its got me interested again.
Scuba's remix of When I Grow Up (deep dub techno: hypnotic)

Martyn's remix of Seven (which sounds a bit like Burial gone techno)

there might be more remixes around I dunno, and for here is her myspace too.

not as brilliant as everyone was expecting
but still pretty good, very much looking forward to seeing them in around 2 weeks :D
yeah
I was interested when I saw she was playing Manchester on the 14th, but then realised this clashes with the NIN/JA gig at the MEN which clearly wins in my book!
they look like they know how to put on a show
I was wondering if it was one of those albums that got a bit to hyped for its own good because of the connections to The Knife.
pretty much, yeah.
The Knife are definitely about 20 times better than this.
Still enjoying it
maybe not as much as when I first got it, I don't think it'll be in my end of year list but still a darn good album.
The only remix I've heard is the Fuck Buttons remix of If I Had A Heart which is great! It's on Spotify but I can't give you a link as I'm on my works pc.
cool
I remember a mention of a Fuck Buttons remix a while back now you say.
found it!

I like it when Fuck Buttons go more dancey
that has some annoying clock documentry over the top of it WTF!
here is a clean version...

you'll love the new shit they were showcasing at ATP then
absolutely incredible.
awsome
I was hoping they would go a little more in that direction, I look forward to it surfacing.
Still adore it...
still my favourite album of the year so far
nice one
I love her voice and way with atmospheric electronics
i've still only listened twiceish
and first time it was more in thebackground. the second time though, i really enjoyed it, and i know if i persist i'll love it.
I really need to buy this
looking forwards to seeing her at loop in brighton lots
I really like it
Definitely one of my favourites of the year and very excited to see her live.
The Rex The Dog remix of Triangle Walks is amazing (very dancefloor orientated), and I really like the Dan Lissvik remix of When I Grow Up too.
I still like the album a lot
and they were really very good live, much rawer and less synth-poppy, and with a really cool light show. The album's not quite as good as 'Silent Shout', but otherwise it's better than the other two knife albums (Deep Cuts has some great songs, but is irritatingly inconsistant).
nice one
it sounds like its probibly worth a crack then, I'll move it up my imaginery to buy list a bit more.
I think it's great
It's a real grower, I didn't go mad for If I Had A Heart when I first heard it, I thought it seemed to just be The Knife but less exciting, but I took a chance on the album anyway and there's way more to it than that, it's so immersive and atmospheric. It took me a little while to get into, but now it's one of my favourites of the year. And yeah, the Rex the Dog remix of Triangle Walks is great fun too.
Its brilliant
I agree with whoever said it's a grower.
I think i'm comparatively slow at 'getting' things anyway, which doesn't help, but I'm starting to get there. Seeing her in a couple of weeks when she comes to Manchester too, which will hopefully inspire me more than the record does by itself.
only heard it on youtube
and it sounded right. what a terrible way to listen to an album.
really good at sonar, the bass was ridiculous- the heaviest i've ever heard. never had my innards shake like that.
roasthemonaspit didn't sound impressed with the stage setup, but i thought it was cool.
sounds promising
I'm a fan of my inards getting shaken by bass
.
im promoting manchester show, and i can tell you now... the live show is going to be one of the greatest things i've ever seen
go see it,
best show of the year.
I think it's a grower and then it's a sinker
At first it didn't do much for me but then certain songs like 'Seven' began to stand out and the rest grew and grew.
Now, everytime I compare it to 'Silent Shout', it goes down in ability, but then I again I don't think I should be comparing it to a Knife record.
Overall it's one of the best records of the last six months but nothing THAT special.
