for the Glasgow gig. Clearly not as good a venue as London but it's still the Pixies playing Doolittle so I can't complain too much!

I was on the Academy website from 8:58, refreshing until tickets went on sale

and I still didn't manage to get tickets for the Friday. Just got shoved in a queue, eventually got through to the booking form, but as soon as I tried to actually process my order at 9:10 or so, they'd sold out. I didn't realise the Pixies were that popular. Not sure I like them anymore.

  I'm a huge fan, but I was weirdly apathetic come 9:00 this morning. Saw them at Brixton in 04, and again at Leeds festival a few years ago - and, unless they release some killer new material, I don't think I'll ever need to see them again.

initially it was just standing tickets available.
Never mind, all you need is a pal with a standing ticket and it is hilariously easy to swap in in the SECC.
