London Barbican, 31st October.
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD
How does one get tickets?
Just got front row, boo ya!
got front row too :-)
Koko is rubbish, this is sooo much better.
If it is, SEE YOU THERE.
Excellent. And it makes up for fucking up on Koko tickets.
I don't want to be sat on my own, but I really would like to go.
If I buy a pair of tickets, this gives me just under four months to find a girlfriend.
I really don't want to be sitting on my own either...probably be better to see them at a more intimate venue.
(me and the missus, not the arse)
Will see you there. I wasn't sure about this at 1st but I've never been to anything like this before so thought I may aswell go for it. Really excited now!
There's a couple left up there for anyone else wanting to go.
just bought one for this. planning to finance it by selling my two koko tickets as i can no longer attend the show on 18th august. is anyone interested in purchasing these two from me (face value)? bought them on wegottickets and can transfer them into your name.. drop me a line if you want. thanks!
'cos it says tickets aren't on general sale until tomorrow.
row E anyone?
followed the ticket link - it was live, even though it says it is not on sale. not many seats left now! i have just received booking confirmation email so definitely works
which poor soul got E32 then?
But I pity the poor bastard.
did no one else notice my post in the Flaming Lips thread?
Have to celebrate something...
I'm on the front row in the centre circle, better sound-wise than side of the stalls..
i picked up two 3rd row middle center circle tix....not got anyone to go with yet tho....damn i need a girlfriend to take to these things, none of my mates enjoy the bear, will have to get my convincing hat on
A friend got me and him b20 and b21. Looks like 6 people from here in a row.
cos I've got b21. I got the confirmation email to prove it.
forgive me. I've never been to anything like this before.
Don't worry. You'll be among friends. Judging by this, including every fucker on DiS.
No going to the loo when they are playing as I won't let you though.
I only got seats there cos my poor eyesight. Lol.
I would have thought, with there being an orchestra, they will rely a little more on ambient amplification. That means the sound will be in your face, but gently so.
I have never been so happy
...Ed Droste talking about it:
Row R though :(.. but still :DDD
I bagged myself a front row seat but I'm having doubts about it now... :S
want that front row seat, that's FAAAARRRR to close to the band. you won't enjoy it AT ALL
The sound will be wonderful everywhere!
Row J (just next to a seat £5 cheaper-dammit!)
where was my usual gig-ticket-vigilance?
but it's saying about ID required to be shown with ticket for admission????
Lets hope the sound is good! Never been before, Have to get on the phone to me Nan shes played their a few times!
row k in the middle of circle, the sound in barbican is great usually, although a bit quiet. should be amazing though
That must be some sort of record.
i also seem to have two tickets, despite onlhy paying for one...
i was most puzzled when i found 2 tickets in the post.
are you sure they are both tickets? One isn't a receipt. I apologise if I have offended you.
Amazing service - £1.50 fees and they turn up less that 20 hours later. Incredible.
rather confused when i drunkenly opened the envelope friday night!
when i made the booking, one transaction didn't go through (presumably because of everyone booking at the same time), so i selected another seat. got charged once (and the receipt actually states value: £53, charged £26.50), received tickets for both seats.
This isn't on!
Flog your spare ticket and you have yourself a free gig.
Whats the barbican like? Capacity? Am I going to a long long way away if i'm sitting on the back row of the balcony?
I have to decide whether it's worth a 100 mile train trip plus a night in a hotel somewhere
Got my tixs, went for circle front row rather than stalls. According to my Nan if you are in the front half of the stall it's not worth the money what so ever. Circle or Balcony are the best for sound but front half of the stall are a bit rubbish!
Maybe getting in first for tickets isn't always the best luck......
Which was fantastic, but the Barbican's acoustics are renowned for being spot on, anyway. Unfortunately, I could only get restricted view seats in the circle for Grizzly, but they are near the front. I'm hoping they'll be ok, but I'm really there to listen rather than to watch, so I'm not that fussed. This is going to be wonderful.
Corea and Fleck are playing again this year, I notice. Hmm. Wondering if I should go again.
I'd be eternally grateful to purchase it. Only very recently fell in love with this band and the chance to see them with an orchestra is simply too good to miss. If anyone has a spare can I take it off your hands? I'll pay obviously.
