wish I hadn't passed up the chance to laugh at them when I went to Reading in 2000.

The album is stunning, and the comment you make about it being a modern metal classic is spot on, it is up there with Slayer and Metallica, (controversial),

Other than System of a Down I can't think of any modern metal act who could reach that level (there are plenty of bands who are good enough, but none I think will live in the public mind in the same manner to be classed as "iconic"),

Look at Korn for example, its been 15 years since their debut, and if you'd have asked me at the turn of the last decade I would have thought they'd be at a Metallica equivalent point in their career, but its just gone off the boil for them (they were surprisingly good at Download tho, very impressed),

Which current metal bands do you think have the capacity to become that big?
