cos it looked like great fun on the TV
But they just seemed to actually be quite fun, one sometimes needs vicarious brainless fun, you know when you like something that you know is rubbish (like Bamos liking the new order 'world in motion' song)
and left after 4 tunes. Granted, this was mainly due to my growing need to shit myself. I did like their funny little guitar hero-esque synth though.
I quite like a dubstep guy called Mouldy from Oz but I cant think of anyone else at all, they seem to produce lots of electroclash throwback bands. I was goin to say Truth from Deep Medi but they are from New Zeland... dBridge, marcus intalex and instra:mental are all so good, doing something really diffrent in d'n'b at the moment and crossing over into dubstep a bit like Pendulem probibly will be doin very soon haha.
Got Gala Mill off emusic recently, it's excellent!
but yeah I'll take your word for it, there has to be good stuff the country is HUGE!
I thought of one since I posted Kito on Disfigured Dubz Skream label she makes some amazing stuff.
I won't say stuff from Australia is generally shit...They have lots of good acts, Snowman are amazing even though they started off sounding like the drones but their latest album is very b'day party ish.
Pendulum are typical of the ozzy expat community here...stuck in the 90s and keeping derivative culture alive
Pendulum are half british anyways: the shit mc, guitarist and drummer are all british but i think the main two guys who do most the production are ozzie.
They seemed quite shit in tele, but i imagine if i was drunk and at a festival id have enjoyed it.
they should've been playing with the prodigy then people would see the light over them
but I was watching it and the sun was going down and like you, I was thinking 'this looks like great fun'. The crowd looked like they were enjoying it too.
Was shaking the ground all the way up to Dairy Ground, not my cup of tea but that was crazy....
Pendulum are awful though
But I've seen them live and they're great fun so who cares!!
something that probably didn't come across too well on TV (if the screens at the festival were anything to go by). But musically I thought they were the Status Quo for the millennium - one trick ponies with the same rhythm throughout and no imagination.
and I just thought 'Scooter'
of unimaginative music. Crowd loved it tho.
