Spirit of Eden is easily one of my favourite albums. Laughing Stock's pretty awesome too. Mark Hollis' solo album is also great.
the last two albums that is. I'm not even gonna go near the early stuff. The guitar sound on Laughing stock is immense. It sounds like a tele, can anyone confirm or deny?
colour of spring at least you should give a go.
80s don't frighten me.
It's not miles away from the later two, it wasn't like a sudden transformation at all, I think.
On a slightly different tangent I don't think I've heard anything as beautifully produced as the ethereal bits on spirit of eden blasting out.
early stuff is amazing in a feelgood way and the later stuff is just so haunting
The essential Talk Talk.
