eeek
has the video dropped out for anyone else? i seem to only have sound loop.
it's the same on pitchfork
oops
think they might have too much demand
will see if i can get an update
14 days of prep
nice!
Nothing is happening.
It's just the studio and men fiddling with their equipment (lol). This show (or whatever it is) would be so much better and less boring if it just opened and the bands were standing there, all ready to play and just go into it. Mind you, this is the first episode of it I've seen, so...
they're usually recorded and then put online
rather than actually live, as this one is.
Yeah, but it's all WATCH AN EMPTY STUDIO LIVE HERE AT 9PM UK TIME.
I want some bands, dammit. Fifteen minutes of a cocking loop. Everyone should've been setting up from 8:30 or whatever.
Y'know what this needs? A presenter.
Oh, they've started. brb
nah
all bands make people wait. i guess it's the online equivalent of flicking the house lights down and back up again.
didn't see yr thread chap
sorry
I bet that's a DD-6
You can tell by the way it's replicating the output and not the signal.
jack looks well cool
better than meg on drums - what a surprise
i've seen so many adverts on so many sites for this
and yet i've still got no idea who or what it is. me = not hip
it is
Jack White of White Stripes
Alison Mosshart of The Kills
Plus the speccy dude from Raconteurs and one of the extra ones in QotSA
New band called The Dead Weather
Playing live, right now, at The Hospital in Covent Garden. Streamed on DiS and few other peoples.
For a show called From the Basement, which was started by Radiohead produced Nigel Godrich.
You is now hip Mr Atp.
produceR not produced
obvs
ah okay
not really a fan of any of the constituent elements so i guess thats why i ignored it
my connection is well crap
so I'm only getting about 10 seconds of live video before it needs to buffer but what I can see/hear is well good.
Some quick thoughts!
As I can't write and watch!
I like the lights and Jacks Ludwig drum kit. Mmmmm nice.
Gretsch guitars are cool too - thata a big bass.
Alison Whatshername - not a fan of her work with the Kills and this isn't doing much to change my opinion.
It's fun though innit? Live! Like now on the web. NOW! 40 years on from the first moon landings....(yeah right - like anyones reaaaallllyyy been to the moon) we've progressed to this! But seriously it is allright and I'm into it.
So in summary - I like the lights, Jacks hair and drum kit and their shiny white Gretschs and vintage fender amps.
Muscially when shes singing it's a bit meh.
Thanks
I think
It's DEAD good.
K bi
no image, no sound
gave up....but my computer is slow as fuck
besides...just put myself through 35 mins of shine a light so i'm not really in the mood for anymore super slick concocted live happenings
That was fuuucking sick.
Especially the last track, oh my god <3
Is that it then?
was rather good, I for one like her singing but then I like the kills so what do I know
I quite enjoyed that, after moaning about the wait.
I wasn't even all that fussed or excited about the band, really - like, I listened to a stream of their single and it was all right, but nothing amazing. But that was pretty good live. I enjoyed the second song. Sometimes it made me think a bit of an American band from the arsehole of the South, playing in a local pub, thinking their Led Zeppelin, but the riffs were pretty fat, huh.
Also, that Bo Diddley Gretsch was nice. Too bad she did nothing with it.
Also, black is so cool.
And it made me wish I could be in a band that rock.
*they're
FML
Fucking pile of crap
that keeps crashing firefox. Maybe put wank self-indulgent Web 2.woah jams of limited interest somewhere other than the front page?
jeez
what prehistoric are you running? have had no complaints of it crashing browsers
took a little while...
...to get on the page, but it was well worth the wait. All the songs were very good, VV was in good voice and Jack pretty tight on the drums. Looking forward to catching them live, hopefully they'll be a 'special guest' at Glastonbury
