Music today has been severely restricted by not only the Labour government. The purchase of music licenses is strangling the pubs of this country, who had previously provided a strong and reliable outlet for young people. This is completely wrong!!
As a result nobody in popular music now learns or studies their instrument to the degree that they used to in the 60s and 70s. Without regular gigs it is impossible for young musicians to grow and interact with each other.
First point - true to some extent, maybe not for the reasons you're saying.
Second point - bollocks, musicians being able to 'play' their instruments was why the seventies threw up so much shit until punk sorted matters out.
