It's the line "Except roll down the window and let the wind blow back your hair" in Thunder Road. No arguments.
...but I thought it was going to be that breathless moment, three minutes into Born to Run, when the music all but stops until you hear "One...two...three...four..."
"The highways jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive"
but i heartily endorse this choice
but heres the proper version.
agree about bruce, BTW
"I GUESS WE'LL JUST HAVE TO ADJUUUUUUUUUST!"
not even a massive fan, but i can't think of any more powerful moments than when i first heard that.
Thunder Road is fucking immense as is the 1.....2.....3.....4.....bit on born to run.
so. flippin. excited.
but that is like a supersweet moment
with one of these "BEST EVER...!!!!!" type threads, but this is quite clearly correct.
The last 90 seconds of Interpol's PDA and the backwards vocal part 3 minutes into Everday by The Field, just as the beat kicks back in twice as sweet as before, are my others.
11 sleeps till Bruce at Glastonbury, then I get the joy of the three hour set at Hampden 2 weeks after that. I've waited too long for this, since the git never play north of Manchester in the 10 years I've been gig going.
See also for exceptional outros on that record: Roland, Leif Erikson.
but only slightly
I think it's the same section in the second verse after "promises'll be broken"
"THERE WERE GHOSTS IN THE EYYYES OF AAAALLL THE BOYS YOU SENT AWAYYYY...THEY HAUNT THIS DUSSSSTY BEACH ROOOAD IN THE SKELETON FRAAAAMES OF BURRRRNT OUR CHEVVVVRO LEEEEEEETS"
Actually my favourite bit in music.
...he's fucking right!!
<3 <3 <3
So fucking good, man I am getting really excited about seeing him at Glastonbury.
