Sounds so, so promising.
Like the Sonic Youth/Radiohead thing. Or Cedric telling DiS that it wasn't as unlikely they'd reform as it had been in the past becoming 'ATDI Reunion Talks'.
...bought RoC and then they split up about 2 months later. :(
A forum link to an NME news story about a Drowned In Sound story. Lovely stuff.
but I did read the DiS article if that cheers him up
coupled with an attept at headline mongering attention seeking.
then I might read the articles.
i was lucky enough to see them 3 times before they split, and i doubt theyd be half as good now, prove me wrong though! :)
i know its highly unlikely but i always wanted to know where this band could have gone to!! Maybe a more punk rock mars volta!
it's an exciting prospect, but could you not have linked the actual interview from this very website?
they were good back in 1999-2001 when i got to see them live... but, do they need to reform? really? do they?
Anything that stops Das Volta in their over convoluted tracks is all the better. I prayed for death, but reformation of their old band is okay I guess...
That would be the best. With congas and jazz flute
Gotta agree. At The Drive In are fucking shit. Hope they don't reform and appear at ATP
they broke up at the perfect time to gain legendary status, they can only undermine themselves by reforming
