Now, this has GOT to be worth some discussion...!
^ feat Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Deftones... BUT NO SYSTEM??
Though the limp bizkit song should be break stuff.
The bottom half should be disturbed (down with the sickness), static-x (black and white), drowning pool (bodies), slipknot (wait and bleed) and system (chop suey)
Korn: Good God, Justin, Cameltosis, Trash, Here to Stay?????
Limp Bizkit: Pollution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Papa Roach: eh....no.
Linkin Park: see above
Taproot: Smile, Comeback???
MuDvAyNe: fair dos, but Internal Primates Forever >>>>>>> Dig
Orgy - Revival
Sevendust - Headtrip
Slipknot - Eyeless
Did miocene also come under the nu-metal umbrella?
they're songs which might actually be slightly a bit good
lol @ me
should really really REALLY be in that list
Some good choices though - really liked reading it.
I would have gone for something off Adrenaline for Deftones.. I love both albums but I always think the first is more nu-metal-y.
And as above - Drowning Pool's 'Bodies' should've been up there.
adrenaline is just raw agression. god i love that album
not that either had much in common with their peers
the first song i thought of is number one.. korn should be higher though. i was hoping for a bit of coal chamber too (loco). ah the good old days.
I've grown up a lot since last week though.
that was one of the most mental gigs iv ever seen there. i seemed to remember everyone saying that the tent actually moved. shinobi was absolutely crazy
people were standing quite a fair way back out of the tent
Never heard of the last one though. That intro to shinobivsdragonninja <3 then the "HUH!" bit is truly magnificent.
Could have had a top 20 nu-metal anthems and included:
Spineshank - Synthetic
System of a Down - Sugar
Hed (PE) - Bartender
POD - Alive
Disturbed - Down With The Sickness
Drowning Pool - Bodies
Static-X - Permanence
don't forget Black and White by Static X!
sure some hits like Blind and My Own Summer but seriously ... no one even liked half those bands back in the day
My Own Summer
Spit It Out
One Step Closer
Back To The Primitive
Down With The Sickness
and chop suey was where it all started going wrong for SOAD in my view..
OOOH WAAAHAAA HAAA! *big riff*
Naaa, System were at their strongest when Chop Suey! came out and Toxicity was a massive success.
well actually yeah they (we) did
Is it cool now or something?
also Download is this week, Limp Bizkit have reformed, Korn are there, Slipknot, as well as various other turn of the millenium big hitters like Marilyn Manson
I would change the Limp Bizkit one to "Faith" and the Korn to "Freak on a Leash"
Yes to adding Loco, Bartender, Synthetic and Bodies.
I hate Disturbed so I can't bring myself to add "Down With the Sickness"
But no Slipknot, System, Alien Ant Farm, Manson, One Minute Silence or American Head Charge. They were some of the tunes that got the dance floor going in the day
Korn - Here to Stay
Slipknot - Spit It Out
Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff
Wish I was going download ;-( x
some Slipknot and Youth Of The Nation by P.O.D.
I've never liked Dig either. It's all about Not Falling for me.
soufly - jumpdafuckup
How about I see your "jumpdafuckup" and raise you "headup"
Votes for American Head Charge (Just So You Know), System of a Down (Chop Suey), Alien Ant Farm (Movies), Incubus (I'd go with Drive, it was the chilling-with-bitches anthem of my mid-teens.)
quite liked that song 'Downfall' by Trust Company. Good screamy vocals!
Lostprophets number one? It's blatantly Break Stuff
added to those above I'd also like to throw out, Union Underground
toxicity to chop suey. Wait and Bleed should surely be in there.
