and I kinda miss them.
does anybody actually care about this band anymore?!?!
but they'd be much better off sticking to 30-35 minute albums again, First Impressions of Earth ran out of steam about seven tracks in.
^ pretty much that.
First album I can still listen to today. The second album I can take it or leave it.
The third album is so far away from what they were originally all about it's scary
and maybe a couple of others off that album, though I haven't listened for ages (years, probably).
Never heard any of the later albums though. Have they actually split?
Apparently Little Joy are touring without the dude from The Strokes due to The Strokes recording again I believe
i don't think it's ever gonna have taht gang mentality again. cos hammond jr's been off doing his own thing, and from what i hear there's been frictions in the band. icould easily see them splitting.
i can almost feel slight tension in their live shows already. if there is to many anymore that is.
but I'll always get nostalgic for 'Is This It'.
last of rock bands...
great band. I like all three albums but I'm going to be controversial and say Room On Fire is my personal fave of all three.
from Woolworths for about £4 about 3 months after it came out. ha.
thought the third album was shamefully underrated, though I'd concede the point made above that it was a bit long. Cut, say, three or four tracks and it would've been almost as solid as the debut, and easily better than the lacklustre Room On Fire.
