:( Gah! Bastards, the general public, the lot of them. God they have four awesome LPs and a couple of brilliant EPs.
probably my favourite band of all time, and i've never seen them play to more than about 40 or 50 people.
4 incredible albums and 2 amazing EPs.
chez chef is one of the catchiest songs of all time.
On the strength of reccomendation on here (possibly from your own good self, I forget) I got 'Rest and be thankful' off emusic and (first listen) I was TOTALLY underwhelmed. 'Dreary middling indie' I remember thinking.
I'm prepared to give it another chance if you PROMISE ON YOUR MOTHER'S GRAVE (whether she is alive or dead, I care not) that it is a grower.
listen to Hug the Coast, Rebuild the Pier, On the Enjoyment of Unpleasant Places or the Chez Chef EP and get blown away.
the newest album has it's moments, but overall it's not the same league
the songs from the new record sounded amazing live on the last tour though, alot more energetic than on record.
heard their most recent album, but their first few albums (especially on the enjoyment of unpleasent places) and their chez chef and icy you EPs are fantastic - promise on el madre's grave.
reminds me of being 18 again - used to see them a lot at the peel in kingston, they're lovely guys too. so much fun live.
