I know it's a good album but does this not seem pretty expensive to anyone else?
but then it is Fever Ray...
And have you seen her on-stage costumes? They must have cost a bomb so maybe it is sort of justifiable.
I think tickets for the Royksopp/Fever Ray gig I went to were £20, and that was well worth the money, even though it was seating we got a cameo from Robyn.
I can imagine quite a lot of that £22 goes to her costumes, stage set up with the lanterns, lazers, etc.
are awesome. there's a price for awesomeness, and it's £22 apparently.
But, in their defence, the price was set by the regents park folk as its part of a set of events they're doing.
No other sea power gig will be this price.
The price is indeed down to the cost of 'Production'. We enquired about putting her on in Manchester and what we got quoted made my jaw hit the floor!
it will be worth it and more...... she's playing manchester on july 14th!
i seem to remember seeing she's playing at bristol academy, would never have thought the album had enough impact for that, the knife or no
but would have thought she'd have been way too under the radar to fill the bristol academy, especially with tickets that high. that's more than ghostface killah was a month back, and more than de la soul soon; both in the same venue. no chance she's bigger than that
People pay too much for concerts nowadays without even blinking. I know the youngsters don't wanna hear this, but back in the day we woulda caused some kinda scene in front of the venue, at the very minimum. Not sure what normally happened after that, my mind is half gone, but the acts would certainly think twice about their pricing if they knew there's always be some kind of resistance. And Fever Ray? C'mon, you can see someone of equal suckability for a fraction of their ticket price.
I paid £14 to see The Knife...best value for money.
very overrated..one of the most disappointing albums of the year.
...are £16.50. Cheapest mentioned so far!
just seemed to be a few lamps. The lazers were pretty cool though.
