why don't you summon the mediocre powers of the Internet, listen to some songs, and form your own opinion. I KNOW!
And my life is far too important to me to piss about listening to bands I don't hold out much hope for.
but in the time it has taken to write this/read the replies you could have listened to at least one song, and formed a bit of an opinion about them
'Cuddle Fuddle' and 'Sleepyhead' are pretty decent. The album hasn't taken me yet.
'the reeling' gave me the impression that it could be one of the better songs of the year but this and most of the songs on the album seem to get boring SO quickly
If you don't like it, you'll probably won't like the album that (in my opinion) is clearly not as good.
There's shedloads of bands I want to listen to so I'm not going to waste time on a band if I don't think they'll be good.
by the EP and Sleepyhead, but the album seems pretty weak.
It's really poppy, which is fine, but I think they push the pop envelope to the point of just being a bit twee.
I'm also not sure about his voice, especially after seeing them live.
That really surprises me. From the name I had them down as a sub-standard piss-metal band.
I was surprised
I don't like much stuff either, but the songs on the E.P were lovely
that little speeded up sample on 'Sleepyhead' is pretty gorgeous over the twinkles and chords
they sound like born again christians doing a cover of Justice's D.A.N.C.E. or something along those lines anyway.
the song sleepyhead or whatever, that everyone says is amazing, is unbelievably annoying and dull
Sounded a bit like the Postal Service, only nowhere near as good.
Sleepyhead is fucking brilliant though.
the album is brilliant
I could be wrong, I just thought Sleepyhead was amazing and wanted the album to sound like that, and it doesn't.
I could be wrong, I just loved Sleepyhead and wanted the album to sound much more like that than it does.
ep had its moments
i never even noticed how bad the name was until you pointed that out
only heard a bit of one track, was surprised by how dancey it was. expected them to be an arty dirty riff band.
good cheery music.
not sure how it works live - but looking forward to find out
The EP buzz was back in Autumn and this comes in as a bit of an anti climax. The album starts great but the latter half is weak i’m afraid to say. A good summer album if there is such a thing.
getting through the whole album on account of the fact that it sounds like shit.
grinning constantly like cult members.
