Anthony and the Johnsons! Brand New! two Fucked Up sets!
I'm going to climb the wall for Spinal Tap and Dizzee Rascal though.
whyyyyyy am I not going.. :(
is Q-Tip doing any other shows rather than this hippy shit?
There are obviously a few clashes Spinal Tap and Dizzee clashing with Gaslight Anthem being one of them! Sunday is almost like a Reading Day (Well the first half of it anyway)
Seriously cannot wait for this now!!!
are nothing too special live; go see Tap!
Go and see Spinal Tap. Gaslight are excellent but plenty of times to see them. Who knows if or when Spinal Tap will play a full set again.
Crossing my fingers for a secret The Folksmen set on the acoustic stage or similar.
glasto these days is that it try's to be so inclusive that the main stage is diluted and safe to appeal to the increasing older middle class, monied, clientele that go. You can't get away from the fact that festivals are predominantly are the traditional preserve of rock (or whatever you want to call them) bands and glasto is losing sight of that, although fleet foxes sunset slot on friday could be promising if the weathers nice ha ha
it looks like bloody Supersonic.
then finally people would be forced to except the truth
Of good stuff on there for sure.
Bit confused on some of the sequences on how popular bands are or am I missing something!
Surely this isn't right:
Bat For Lashes
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
I would of thought it was:
Also is it just me or the Jon Peel stage seems to be full of stuff he would of thought was shit? But still Lay Low, Low Anthem, Alessi's Ark, Liz Green and about a million other good smaller bands.
emily eavis: "the only correct line up for this years glastonbury has been announced at guardian.co.uk or glastonburyfestivals.co.uk"
I looked at that and thought 'Antony & The Johnsons, De La Soul, Patrick Wolf....cool' - NONE of those are on the actual list.
unimpressive for my 180 quid but i expected it to not excite me, apparently it's all about the "experience" anyway...?
Neil Young & CSN at the same festival?
Jason Mraz 3 times..........no one needs that
if they can't arrange some sort of crossover there then there is no magic in this world
There's almost too many acts I want to see. Much better line up than last year!
but M Ward into Bon Iver would be pretty amazing, if the weather is nice.
I'm impressed with the amount of decent acts they've got, especially compared to other festivals.
I'm really pleasd with the line-up but has anyone got any idea who the special guests might be on the Friday?
Wish I was going!
is what BBC had the slot down as for a few hours until they were mysteriously removed to be replaced with 'Special Guests'. if not them Vampire Weekend are likely i'd say
i heard the klaxons said they were playing loads of festivals so possibly a possibility...
i got tickets just because i have never been... looks pretty good lineup to me. now, anyone have any ideas how best to traverse the 900 acres of glasto??
