if this happens i will explode.
its kind of wrong and kind of right - ron dies so get the guy in who replaced him/demoted him last time
i'm sure it isn't the intention but it does seem a bit "well that guy's dead, how can I keep this going". I dunno. I think they were playing Search and Destroy a bit last year.
Certainly makes more sense than getting J Mascis in anyway. On that sort of subject, is that No Age playing a Husker Du album a bit of a crazy idea? Seems like it to me.
I'd heard that J Mascis was in.
i should listen to it, right?
A single good tack on it... My Idea of Fun. The last decent thing they released was 'You Better Run'. That would've improved that album by 100% if they'd put it on.
Not surprised Williamson slid on in there. One last payday, eh?
That said, I'd still go and see them before they retire. Would've preferred to see Mascis in the slot, but I suppose this is more historically correct...
Iggy's interviewed and it's say Williamson got in touch after he retired from a job at Sony electronics and wanted to get back into music.
Good to see he was using technology.
Mascis played with Ron Asheton but minus Iggy for the tribute gigs a few years ago.
best fucking news
this is most likely gonna turn out bollocks. Can't see why Scott Ashton would want to play in the Stooges without his brother, seems a bit shitty.
as much as I love Raw Power, this seems a bit cash-cow orientated.
Scott Asheton was working on a building site before the Stooges comeback so maybe he will stick with touring the world and making better money.
I wonder if this is what Ron would've wanted. I mean really, the rest of em must know. I have no clue
A Ron-less Stooges gig would be really sad in my humble opinion
I'll be avoiding this like the plague. The reunion was cool, I suppose, but this is such a shameless cash in. It won't be right without Ron.
