got some jammers on it, ice cream factory's great. Like the pumpkin trilogy and aveys solo songs. Acoustic sides aren't good too, covered in frogs , the version of mouth wooed her is fun and thats one of my favourite songs of theirs.
But yeah, no way in a million years I would pay $100 for it.
i feel sorry for anybody who bought this, none of it really reveals anything about their creative process, there aren't any "forgotten gems", the live versions of songs from records aren't hugely different and are certainly not better. was hoping there'd be some really out there stuff, but its pretty uninspiring
It was always meant to be a collectors item for vinyl enthusiasts, you were basically paying for the packaging, though i'm sure thats not why people bought it.
I think the live versions are all just messier, like they've been until about the end of beginning of feels. I think the live hey light is great though.
I think "ice cream factory" was supposed to be on HCTI, would have certainly made it a different album.
I think it reveals that a lot of their power is in production. Even on the early albums there's an air about it thats unique whereas the live early stuff has a lot of the same overall feeling on these recordings and hollinndagain.
But I suppose I've only heard MPP, Strawberry Jam and Feels, so I suppose I should have expected it to be a lot stranger!
It's already going for something insane like $750 each on ebay. He actually wanted it for the music but if it's rubbish he reckons he'll just sell it so he's got some money for after graduating.
