while they play summertime clothes.
you should check out Trigrics... this album down there... is full of that kind of thing and its the most powerful feild recordings I've heard for soem time.
You take a great interest in commenting on any thread about them
but there's something vaguely ridiculous about those dancers in the background.
it's been a long day...
such a brave song choice for such a mainstream TV show too.. they could've played something like Fireworks and not seemed too out there but this was a very bold step.
they were given.
Love the track but their music doesn't work live.
When he starts the 'when the sun' bit, it's just a bit cringeworthy. And the dancers...?
i really like A.C. ......
but are they really that commerical, are they really that accessable to a mass audience.... and in my honest opinion i don't think so.
I think it's good that so many people are getting to hear them, but i feel this has been built on by a lot of current hype and mass marketing.
I mean, when would you ever have seen MPP in HMV or Zavvi?? seriously....
Their album cover has been everywhere, and its the current trend to say you like them... despite them been around for years and too many other releases.
great band, but at the moment are a bit bigger than they possibly should be.... just becuase people are liking cool.
I got feels from fopp. I saw some black dice albums in Zavvi once.
The albums pretty accessible I think, summertime clothes especially, little arpeggio, 4/4 beat, sweet melodys.
"great band, but at the moment are a bit bigger than they possibly should be.... just becuase people are liking cool."
This was foretold:
"Not long now 'til the indie gayers abandon them because they've been receiving some mainstream press, eh?"
If people are only buying their album cause it's cool, so what? They'll either broaden their horizons and fall in love with the band, or let it gather dust on their shelves (or whatever the mp3 equivalent is). Either way, the band profits - and about bloody time too if you ask me. Hooray for hype.
THE PERFORMANCE ART DANCERS IN THE BACKGROUND ARE PURE WANK.
