Fuck it, I love those records so much. All of them. Don't get me started on the live ones. Right, of to Stoke Newington to see BLK JKS.
but it's gotta be 'fear of music' - just for that animals track - kills me every time. either that or whatever album 'once in a lifetime' is from 'cos i reckon that's my favourite single of the 80's.
'Stop Making Sense'? I know it's basically a live greatest hits, but it's the one I listen to most often. It might well have been the first record I ever heard, I certainly remember it more than anything else being played when I was little. If I can't have that I'll have Remain in Light with Fear of Music a close second.
i'd thought fear was the best for a long long time, it's not that i didn't like RiL then...it felt like more a collection of songs than a complete record. it clicked with me one day when i listened to it on the train and it's probably in my top 5 of all time now.

PS:
I fucking hate the Tom Tom Club and i'm off to SN, not of.
Remain in Light
The production is sublime. The songs are brilliant.
Speaking in Tongues would be amazing if they'd kept eno on board.
remain in light
Fear of Music
simply for the wondrous consecutive trio of Mind, Paper and Cities.
Then it's probably Remain in Light, Stop Making Sense and '77, for me.
Fear of Music
then Little Creatures <3
i don't know much about talking heads
but it's gotta be 'fear of music' - just for that animals track - kills me every time. either that or whatever album 'once in a lifetime' is from 'cos i reckon that's my favourite single of the 80's.
stop making sense.
'The name of this band is Talking Heads'
It's very rarely that I choose to put on another TH album.
fear of music.
it's most consistent.
Is it cheating to say

got to be either fear of music or remain in light
depending on mood
for the longest time it was Fear of Music
but Remain in Light has crept in there only in the last few months, it's quite hard to decide.
Remain In Light
Was Fear... for the longest time, but I think sooner or later RIL just gets everyone, and rightly so.
May I just point out that Naked is a great album and deserves a lot more love.
yep
i'd thought fear was the best for a long long time, it's not that i didn't like RiL then...it felt like more a collection of songs than a complete record. it clicked with me one day when i listened to it on the train and it's probably in my top 5 of all time now.
Im with you on Remain in Light
also made probably the greatest live album/video of all time.. kraftwerk/prince aside.
Remain In Light
although speaking in tongues pushes it close because This Must Be The Place, and Making Flippy Floppy are that good
more songs about buildings and food.
I'd go with
Remain in Light
