for the kids:
but that's easy, sorry Bon.
Holy Fuck at 1:30am will be immense.
Now who thought that was a good idea?
But everything else looks pretty sweet. Don't know most of the bands on Sunday, should be interesting...
haha, Foals playing the same time as Shellac on the main stage? thats going to fuck them off!
can't imagine there's much crossover in terms of hardcore fans, though curious parties of each might have liked to check out the other, I guess. Anyway, two Shellac sets, innit.
are meant to be playing in Birmingham on the Friday.
though maybe I'm just a bit fucked off with reality.
Also when was the last ATP where the curator only played one set??
That said I iz excited.
and pitchfork media didn't even play the fucking lazy bastards
I'll get the felt tip pens out now
you missed Pitchfork Media's Don't Look Back playing of that video of the pissing monkey? TSK.
And I was waiting for one final addition... :-(
Still, a clash-free run, so for that I can be grateful.
I appreciate that he'll probably be a big draw but could he have done two shows at the centre stage? The pavilion stage will be awful for what he does.
How's that going to work?
Melt-Banana then Mr. Lif in Reds will be amazing. Good choice of venue for Lif.
I'm a bit gutted about the Muses/Yann Tiersen clash, might have to half/half them.
I thought there would be more bands doing two sets aswell.
Looks like there's gonna be a lot of running around, which is fine by me.
Holy Fuck at 1.30am will be immense yes!
unless melt-banana hvae perfected the art of time travel, which i woudln't put past them :P
thought this was odd, especially as School of Seven Bells and Telepathe are playing the Rainbow that night. Crossed wires somewhere.
they said that the Melt Banana gig is in the warehouse, but I was under the assumption that all of the gigs at the rainbow were there? MB have the 16th as the date they're playing ATP on their myspace.
at the back of the pub. I saw Mike in Mono there once. Surely they'll have to move Melt-Banana to the saturday, the timetable says Centre stage finishes at 1 that night, whereas on fri and sun it's 2 or 2.30. Maybe that's the slot for the secret Pixies show though? I wish.
the bronx at 6pm on friday +
holy fuck at 1:30am +
like the one for ATP Vs The Fans, which was very helpful indeed
will i get swine flu if i go see El-Mariachi Bronx?
but Juan Son are Mexican I believe. They may draw a smaller crowd than they might've, with facemasks on.
wish i was going to this as well :(
Will have more time to check it out later but most looking forward to Yann Tiersen and late-night Holy Fuck.
Think I'll need to split from the Breeders early as quite excited about seeing Tricky...
...needs to be sorted. Pretty much the two bands i'm most looking forward to seeing.
puts together some fancy band clash thing. You know, for laminating.
Oh and jamie is the ATP film going to be making an appearance in the coming weeks?
full screening info and other good stuff about the film coming soon, get on the mailing list at www.ourtrueintent.com or become a fan on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/All-Tomorrows-Parties-Film/49909573410
Or just that you won't be showing the ATP film?
I was kind of hoping The Breeders might have some half decent films on in the cinema.
but yes there will be a cinema programme
IF YOU'RE UP FOR PARTYING RIGHT THROUGH TIL MONDAY MORNING... oops all caps.
totally bummed out about bon iver and melt banana :( which to choose? I have seen melt banana before i guess. At least theres no clash with DEERHUNTER
Check it out. Quirky lo-fi pop.
8.30pm - 9.45pm - Shellac
10.15pm - 11.00pm - Supersuckers
11.30pm - 12.15am - X
we did some changes; melt banana no longer clash with bon iver, yann tiersen doesnt clash as much, a few other changes.
also Scarlett Thomas book reading and Knitting With Kelley confirmed!
My mate did a spreadsheet and I pdf'd it and upped it to my site.
