Sweet, that's them done then.
hi ho, hi ho, its back to asda they go.
rat boy and his bum chums and their faux working class tripe bites the dust hopefully...
I dont like their music one bit,
but I dont think their class should be brought into it mate.
you should tell the singer to stop mentioning it all the time and proclaiming himself as some sort of visionary for the working class.
and a very very funny review in Time Out this week.
I actually enjoyed listening to it for a while, though never taking the whole thing with more than a chuckle. However the new stuff I've heard on their myspace and elsewhere is toe curlingly dreadful. They appear to have disappeared up their own backsides, though I guess the writing was always on the wall. I'm sure that Tom Clarke geezer fancies himself as some sort of Joe Strummer, I bet.
No, I'm not surprised, but still it's gonna be particularly painful for them as they were an 'NME band'. Oh well.
how can they dismiss it without even giving it a chance. I'd say it's at least a 4 out of 10.

Im frm Coventry and while I recognize Their shortcomings I still this they r a quality band. To me it smells of snobbery from the london music scene who think they r the be-all and end-all
But then I'm pretty certain that they give everything 4/10.
i hate their reviews.
amazing album = 4/5
worst album ever = 3/5
let alone having a new album coming out
They were playing small venues and gigs that had no promotion until the last minute recently, seems like that was good practice for the future! No doubt Small Man Big Mouth will threaten to batter anyone who gives his shitty album a deserving review (ie its shit!) coz hes a geezer, proper hard and he'll bite your ankles. Being sent back to Coventry thank fuck.
NME: 'Music for The People is certainly gigantic beyond reason'. They seem to have left out the score though..
or does the "beyond reason" make that sound like a negative point on it's own?
hilarious: they're advertising themselves with a negative review. Can someone clear up if, in context, it's a positive or negative statement?
people inclined to buy enemy albums won't notice though.
with a quote from the NME (albeit only a one word quote), and they gave the album 1/10!
except they obviously are. Which is worse. Namedropping Jam b-sides ("Dreams of Children") doesn't win any points either...
was a double A side with Going Underground. Going Underground was supposed to be the B side but the pressing plant fucked it up. Strange to think weller and co couldn't recognise their best song they'd come up with tho.
The eoghan kid from x factor in the Guardian 'The worst album in the history of recorded sound' Made me chuckle
although there was a quote in the Dotmusic review of the new Razorlight album that said something like "Borrell's ego and self-aggrandizing attitude is all over this record like piss on a wheelie bin" which is probably my favourite review of the last few years and never fails to make me smile.
