Just confirmed it on their website.Friday Reading and Sunday Leeds.
can get them for 200 a ticket. Tempteeeed
Only last year they didn't, and loads of unhappy moshers had to reboard their trains to Carlisle. Or wherever.
amidst a mass 13 hour crush
Ah. That explains it then. As your were.
though i'm sure that i've heard them say that before, then there were extra tickets on the day.
i got one.
on site this year, so I doubt they'll have them on the door apart from touts.
until one year they didnt and I had to go home
2nd to top? Surely?
although I wish they were playing on a different day. Other than Deftones there is no-one I'd be interested in seeing on the Sunday (Leeds). Although I have the same problem with the Download line-up...
Thats all I can muster at thihs moment in time.....
they're the biggest band playing, surely?
day ticket to Reaading is all win!
but in the long run, looking at sales overall as well as reputation, they're certainly not far off. and as for kaiser cheifs and that that lies under them, they surely are?
i think so that it could fit with Radiohead's schedule
scrap what i was chatting about then
the reading website has a slot on sunday for "very special guests"
Also, they wouldn't be able to play the equivalent Leeds date on the Saturday (as they are playing the Rock en Seine festival) so it looks like someone else will be those 'very special guests.' Wish they were playing that day though...
afterall, Friday Leeds is Sunday Reading. FMN then Radiohead?!
Although it is Friday Reading that is Sunday Leeds (not the other way round) so I think their tour diary is correct and that someone else are the special guests on Saturday Leeds and Sunday Reading.
but you can't seriously put them in there?
trying to constitute buying a day ticket
that there's a london show happening as well...
I wanna be front row, headbanging to Smaller and Smaller, wallet on a chain.
It'll make up for missing Nine Inch Nails and JA
play underneath kings of leon it will be the final nail in the 'reading/leeds' coffin for me
Very confused as to where they will play?
Cant see them fitting in between the kaiser chiefs and Kings of leon...
Potential nme headliners?
Also im sure it said somewhere on the official site they aint selling tickets on the gates this year
Friday, Reading. Sunday, Leeds. According to Rock Sound.
That will be an epic finish to the weekend, Much better than KOL
dang, that's pretty sweet!
This has made my day, and to think I was almost regretting buying my Leeds ticket last year!
that's Faith No More, Nine Inch Nails AND The Jesus Lizard I'm seeing this year, blimey, it's 1994 all over again! I just wish I was 26 all over again!
"their ONLY UK date this year"?
Faith No More’s appearance at Download 2009 will be their ONLY UK date this year
Very strange, Bet the organisers of download are pretty gutted about how this has come about.
I know a few folks who were planning on going to download to see them but will know most likely just stick to leeds...
me and my bro wanna go see fnm
it has to be true
I f**ing hope this is all a big mistake.
i think it's more likely that they can't announce it until after download. but it still seems a bit odd.
they need a big announcement now, and they keep messing up the ones they promise.
so it should be true! yassss leeds!
it must be the nme tent headliner.
ok, little worried now, it's disappeared off FNM's website!
if they play?!?!
I doubt they'll want to miss playing reading/Leeds.. they'll get hella cash for it.
I'm sure it will go back up on their tourdates soon. They just got excited and announced it too quick.
there's probably just a 'no announcement till after download' clause. That's usually the case with the big download bands who also play leedings.
