According to a red top today he's out.
...so I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet.
Still it would be very surprising if Moyles left, he's the stations most high profile DJ and has the most listened too slot and he's paid handsomely for it, can see his carear going a similar way to Chris Evans did.
no more than 5 years. BBC have already denied this story but as and when R1 make changes I imagine all the replacements will be young people as Moyles/ Whiley/ Cox/ Bowman are all 30+. Two words- Nick. Grimshaw.
will only be a matter of time before he's moved onto a better one.
Surely a better question than one about a fat gimp losing his job?
I liked the bit in the story where they suggested Moyles was too old so was being replaced, albeit temporarily, by Scott Mills, who's a month younger.
A couple of papers have made an issue out of the ages of the DJs recently because there was a survey done which revealed the average Radio 1 listener's age is 33, but for as long as I can recall, including the supposedly youth revolution Matthew Bannister era, most of the daytime DJs have been in their mid 30s - look at Mark & Lard's afternoon success for seven years, for instance. And the ultimate angle they all take is "Westwood lol", never mentioning how texts from teenagers prop up the show of Jo Whiley, 43.
It'd get him off 6Music to have him replaced by someone more appropriate
Everyone would be happy! Radio 1 wouldn't lose out on having a terrible, talentless imbecile, and 6Music would gain on not having a terrible, talentless imbecile!
i hate all that 'i'm say such random things humour'
he was an arsehole in that ray davies interview too
Because it would probably have a more likeable personality that Moyles.
Alternatively, I think the Breakfast Show gig would definitely appeal to famously jovial type, Steve Albini.
would employ a plastic chair. There's just so many things wrong with that suggestion. Take the question seriously please.
a testi out of it's scrotum would be better than Moyles. It can't talk for a start...
That getting someone who knows something about music, and isn't the biggest twat ever to waddle into a BBC studio, would make a refreshing change.
But I don't listen to the radio anyway these days, so I suppose they can continue broadcasting Moyles 24 hours a day for all I care.
i don't think this is too unlikely. I'd have a few quid on her.
but her radio 1 dance show is irreplaceable.
A & J would make an amazing breakfast show!!
Have to much film work going on to do a daily show. Joe's about to direct an horror movie and has just written a film for Speilberg. Why would he give that up to get up at 5.A.M. for a breakfast show.
The ultimate win win would be George lamb getting the gig.
A canister of CS gas.
just play shows that he did. that would be a great station actually...
