I'm going this year for the two days and just wondered if anyone has any advice on where to go?
Or do you mean which venue?
I was quite vague there.
Just in general in Camden, any particular places people would recommend going to or any places to avoid
Barfly - quite good, although tough to get to the loo when bands are on
Bullet - never been
Cuban Bar - never been
Dublin Castle - bit scuzzy around the edges, can get rammed if a big band are playing
Earl Of Camden - nice enough but stage is very low so tough to 'see' bands
Electric Ballroom - Spacious, loud, dark, good venue
Fifty Five - don't think I've been there
Jazz Cafe - ditto
KOKO - odd, nice room, but it's pricey, excellent view of stage
Lock 17 Dingwalls - Sweaty, intimate, sticky floors, great atmosphere
Purple Turtle - difficult one as it's beyond Koko but have seen some great gigs there. usually quiet
Roundhouse - vast, crap beer and susceptible to fire alerts (which means it closes for an hour)
The Black Cap - atmosphere is great, but too many pillars means you hardly see anything
The Monarch - good venue, although tricky to navigate when full, good place to plan next gig
Underworld - dark and dirty, but good stage setup
