Should I go see him tonight?
it depends how much talking he does - he'll even stop songs and chat in the middle of them sometimes - and if its the sort of venue where people will talk over an acoustic act.
if the atmospheres right and he gets into the music it can be really mesmerising stuff.
do you already like his onelinedrawing and solo stuff?
i know plenty of people are put off by how supersincere he can be.
I say go, it can't be that expensive.
but I'm aware of the KIND of stuff he does.
The overtalking and sincereness is a bit of a put off to be honest. It's not expensive but I've spent about £350 in the last 3 days and don't really wanna get more money out to go to a whiney gig. I need persuading.
just before FAR re-united, I went to see Jonah for the millionth time (he always seems to tour and is such a nice dude). He played an acoustic set of his 'hits' and then some Deftones and Tom Yorke covers, which actually ruled. Especially Deftones... then went onstage live and played a bunch of Far songs...
He can be great. Its always worth seeing a hard working song writer with no ego! do it!
Was good live when I saw him, seems really approachable and into what he does,
I'd definately see him again if I could
