........And I am literally set to orgasm at the thought of it. He is god. That is all.
not a fan of him at all but that's a great small venue to see a "legend" in, how much were the tickets dare I ask...?
...as i am a northern monkey, but i hear it is a great venue? how small we talking? tickets were not as bad as you would think, £50 a pop. not too bad?
But I am seeing him in May anyway.
Saw him at the barrowlands a few years back and it was by some distance the greatest gig I have ever been to. I was in tears!
coulndnt say the same about Dylan though when i saw him at the Fleadh a few years back. It was rubbish and i left early.
is hit and miss live from what i hear! i am seeing him twice in the week.......but the man is a legend and has to be seen!
Can't wait. Even though circumstances dictate that I may need to sell my extra ticket.
First time = AMAZING
Second time = Good
Third time = S'alright
To be honest, there wasn't much difference in quality each time. He sings like Scooby Doo now, but you'll be so overwhelmed with the whole, "OH MY GOD IT'S BOB DYLAN HE'S STANDING RIGHT THERE BUT TWENTY FEET AWAY BEGODS," thing that you won't care. I came close to crying when Like A Rolling Stone happened.
last time I saw him he was terrible... not only did he sound horrible he made a point to only play songs he released in the 90's for the 3rd encore he humored us by playing "All Along the Watchtower" (one song I didn't really care to hear)... It was like he was throwing us an already chewed bone.
i know he isnt going to sound great, and will be yelping out the songs like a fart in a tornado - but i just have to see him. having viewed the setlist he plays these days, he has a much more rounded set, playing a variety of stuff. i vowed i would never go and see him, but i managed to get tickets for the roundhouse gig and i am seeing hit at the liverpool arena the week later - so i should at least have one good experience.
favourite dylan album? i know it's obvious, but i absolutely love freewheelin'. i love the majority of his work, currently i cant stop playing the song 'not dark yet' - amazing.
I took the morning off work to try to get tickets. The Roundhouse website (predictably) crashed due to the demand i had to try calling the box office. I couldn't even get through to an automated message until lunchtime and was then told that it had sold out. WANKERS!
Er, yeah anyway. Have a good time. I hate you.
i just kept refreshing it - i managed to get them through the phone, the expecting rain forum - had dylan fanatics giving 'tips' on numbers to call etc, thats how i did it. a bit sad, but true. it should be epic, from what i hear, the roundhouse is a brilliant venue. if he plays dont think twice i will die a happy man.
