So then o' wise ones, what would be the best Spandau album?
when they came out. Talk about a hype machine: NME and MM were saying SB were gonna be greatest band ever before anyone had ever heard them play. And then it was, "*Your* girlfriend might like that..."
I know this much is.... TRRRRUUE. haha. what a shit song.
...but I would hazard a guess that a large number of people can thank that song for their conception. It's one of those tracks designed for end of disco 'slowies'.
around Africa... back when they were hot.
Gold is one of my singing in the shower songs, actually - not that you need to know that..
maybe I can PM you sometime?
Ha. That SB singer was one smug motherfucker. It's roller rink music-- you know, you're in sixth grade and holding hands when the lights go down for the slow skate-- so yeah. It's not the worst music a 13 year old might get their first kiss to. It's definitely not sex music though, unless you're doing it in a John Hughes film.
I'd rather listen to that Roxy Music Avalon for this type of nostalgia.
80's cheese is the only music to smooch to. Careless Whisper still brings back happy memories.
my girlfriend was on that boat today at the announcement. this amuses me.
...on the grounds of hating each other, which band are the least likely to ever reform? I never saw it coming with this lot, I never saw Roger Waters back with Pink Floyd under any circumstances...
The Stones Roses. One of the tabloids announced recently that they were reforming and Ian Brown and John Squire couldn't respond quickly enough that it was never gonna happen...
