I know it's a sunday and that, but y'know.....
i'll be there, anyone know the times for tonight? I'm catching a lift back from oxford at 6 with my sister, hopefully i'll get there in time.
2 support acts though. Wouldn't expect Nadja on before 9....
thanks. god its going to be a bitch getting back from there on a sunday night.
^Reason why im not going
Well, plus the boatload of work I have to do
Have fun lads
i missed them the last time they played here and that was at the other end of my street, so well i need to be there tonight.
I'm not sure about what I'm gonna do, looks like I'll have to leave to get the overground at about 11.
think the overground is out of action today,
Seriously? No way I can go if there's no overground, as bussing about like a blue arsed fly on a worknight is a no no.
but i'm not doing anything as i have got majorly sidetracked. oh well.
Droning, distorted, dark and epic with an occasional hint of melody. They seemed to be really pleased with the crowd reaction as well, even coming back for an encore.
Can't wait for that covers record to come out.
but I didn't recognise it.
really liked the melodies that came through the waves of drone.
as i told you last night, i enjoyed capillary action too. they were tight; with various cowbells/bells action and were like a jazzy/at times lounge-ier mr bungle. people should check them out on their tour.
vacuous pop t-shirts? :D
(2 of them were wearing the shirts last night)
wish I'd gone, but I was absolutely knackered. As it was I didn't sleep properly anyway - thanks, early rising housemates.
WHo does the drums? Hmmmmm?
Drums are pre-recorded. They use loads of electronics to loop, trigger and distort. Songs flow into each other without any breaks (except for the encore).
I was thinking it's lucky that Nadja play the sort of music which doesn't require much in the way of performance, because facing the back wall the whole time doesn't really scream audience interaction ('cept in a "I'm different" kind of way) - though that's a bit unfair of me, she's probably nervous or something.
No-one ever comes to Canterbury on tour :(
How did I miss this???
they were awesome in Leeds the inght before
i had a great time. never seen nadja before but they were properly good. the a-ha cover was a definite highlight
