It doesn't even matter she can't sing very well, Skream at 16 has the potential to be absolutely brilliant.
unless you mean something else....
Skream isnt 16.
it is a brilliant remix though
only 16 you say? he could be a pretty big deal in a couplee of years
feads/duke dumont at thekla (i'm there) or mylo/herve/mr c/clipz at motion?
But got family stuff this weekend. It's a bit unfortunate, the idea of Thekla with most of the lights turned off is pretty intriguing.
Next massive night in Bristol plan is the Easter Sunday dubstep ting at Thekla that the blast are putting on - Mala, Distance and Hatcha I think.
They're loving it on dubstepforum but to me it's a little plodding and not up there with the best Skream can do. I suppose that could be to do with my not really liking her vocal that much.
That said, I haven't heard it on a big soundsystem yet, and I reckon hearing the sub-bass properly would give it some life.
and he's freakin huge playing gigs all over the world every week and has his own radio show and label heheh
The mix is good, miles and miles better than the original, it really goes off when its played on a big system the bass is imense as it is in all of Skreams work. I don't like it very much though there is loads better Skream stuff around let along the rest of dubstep.
original genuinely sounds like microsoft songsmith. funnily enough i saw la roux the other day supporting lily allen (long story short, friend in my hall was doing street teaming, wanted someone to with her for free, the idea of street teaming for la roux made me laugh so i went). unbelievably terrible, so contrived and awful. she looked surly as fuck, not even one iota of passion, every one of her stage moves was like an child awkwardly mimicing what they'd seen some (no doubt 80s) pop star on tv and trying as hard as possible to look sincere whilst failing miserably. she's going to rise and plummet ridiculously quickly, she should be immensely grateful to skream for giving her additional shelf life for about a year.
yeah that record will probibly get re-pressed and re-releaced all over the place for some time to come the way people are going on about it.
street teaming for la roux heheheh
and after the drop, the song's over in about 30 seconds.
Skream's stuff is always gonna get bummed off though just cos he's one of the big names of dubstep and most of the people on dubstepforum are just sucking up i reckon haha.
A lot of his tunes are really obvious though and dont do anything thaat interesting, but i do quite like this remix. I prefer the Foamo re-edit though.
La Roux's original sounds like some sort of computer game soundtrack though and not in a good way..
but the original song is bafflingly awful. A lot of hyped artists have been criticised over the past few years, but I think La Roux is one of the worst I've heard.
that picture disc thing, which it was originaly meant for. I think alot of the mix drags a bit esspecialy when he wheels it and plays it about 3 times in a row heheh
Skream gets loadsa love on dsf pretty much everyone does though you rearly see any hate goin on, people just talk about stuff they like usualy. Unless its the odd toung in cheek dig at caspa and rusko or snoop dogg on top of cahse and status.
is really funny or really mind numbing
its all bit rediculess
the song is horrible though, but I kinda hated the instrumental anyway. The mixtape sounds like it could be ace though as it has some Joker beats on it and shit like that.
'Eastern Jam' was pretty average to start off with, but snoop just killed it. Lost a lot of respect for tha doogg..
but the origninal is soo sickening n shite so its deff not worth the bother
skream's remix is top notch n so distance, did a proper good job here :)
n yeh mayte skream is most definately NOT 16 n is an absoloute pioneer in the dubstep front but has been around for years - this aint his best so keep searching
