Looks like alot of people are going to amend their favourite SFA albums lists.
Cardiff in the Sun is amazing.
freakin loving pric and also moped eyes (what a chorus!).
also think white socks / flip flops is bunf's best tune ever!
but so far I've been really disappointed.
Some good tracks, and it's good to see the craziness back, but doesn't anyone else think it's a little bit light on actual tunes? I can't ever see myself growing to love Inconvenience, for example - it's just a bit... boring.
Having said that, I nearly always think something approaching this when I hear a new SFA album and they're still my favourite band so...
Could they please ditch the Japanese guy who did the cover for Hey Venus and partially did this one, and stick with just Peter Fowler next time. The cover for this one is almost as eye-watering as Hey Venus was.
It's hideous. Loving the album though.
is wicked. As is The Very Best Of Neil Diamond. Cardiff In The Sun is, however, 100% assured of a place in my favourite ever SFA songs.
I just wish there was a few more songs like Inaugural Trams, obvious pop songs. Not too many, just a few. That sounds like it'd fit in on RATW or Phantom Power.
That said, this is currently a lot better than Phantom Power for me.
download now. Should I ? eh eh ?
and you get the download too
but just had my first flaw moment with inconvenience, when it suddenly turned into shoot the runner
white socks / flip flops is fwckin catchy! that's gonna be goin round my head all week...
still not sure though...TRAMS!
I really like Inaugural Trams, but I also feel it might be sending me insane
its a massive dissaointment....seems very average. Hey Venus was so so much better.
I suggest you listen to it a few more times.
first off - Crazy Naked Girls, starts well, bu then the overly long mock-rock thing is a bit boring.
Other tracks all pretty cool, apart from Inconvenience, Where Do You Want to Go and Lliwau Lachar, which sounded to me like SFA by numbers.
First track aside it's much, much stronger than Hey Venus.
i really got into Hey Venus and like pretty much every track. Im hoping Dark Days will be a grower but at the moment it just for the most part seems average and a bit boring.
I think it's amazing - although, yeah, they could've trimmed a little of the guitar wankery off the end. The verses are especially brilliant.
