with a cuppa! cant wait!
it's not working for me.
1. Crazy Naked Girls
3. Moped Eyes
4. Inagural Trams
6. Cardiff In The Sun
7. The Very Best Of Neil Diamond
8. Helium Hearts
9. White Socks/Flip Flops
10. Where Do You Wanna Go?
11. Lliwiau Llachar
Is this right? wikipedia says so...
with the sound cutting out too, it's really fricking annoying
steaming's a bit dodgy. Exciting though.
That drum tech loves the cowbell.
Literally refreshing every 2 secs now
DO NOT LOOK AT THE PAGE WITH 1-22 ALONG THE BOTTOM
LOOK AT THIS I RECKON
i know it's influnced by 'Timecode' and that, but still.
I'm pretty sure
i refreshed now.
or is it their new sound?
I think they sound good, but it's hard to tell!
i think i may just make some tea instead. meh.
They seem to have been testing stuff for ages.
So much potential! It's just stopped completely now.
as soon as I posted my last moan. Typical!
but why they didn't use some lightning i'm not sure
neil diamond was a bit bhangra at the start
but then i am downloading the album as well.
the dark lighting makes Gruff look like Jeff Lynne
we're in the 'dark days' phase now perhaps
everything down, reload, and watch on www.superfurry.com.
it's smooth now
this evidently isn't live is it? It looks like something they recorded earlier that will later be released on dvd.
Inaugral Trams sounds a bit like it wasn't good enough for Stainless Style. Streaming not very good my end. Feel a bit deflated.
Frustrating...really choppy stream & waaaaay too dark. They seemed to have such a pro setup. Lovvers' web gig last month was such amazing quality so I don't think the problem is on Ustream's side.
although it is still too dark. I'm not sure if it's actually live either - they certainly haven't got the fella from Franz Ferdinand in to do his German 'rap'.
just seems too professional to be one the spot.
Inconvenience was the first song I heard properly, and that was really good I thought.
I can't work out if it's live or not - it sounds to slick in places, but then there are other bits which are bit noisy and stuff.
It's definitely a bit stranger than Hey Venus! I'd hesitate to say experimental, but sounds really big in places.
Seems a bit more interesting than Hey Venus! from what I've heard so far.
when the stream isn't cutting out.
Pity it's currently impossible to buy the damned thing.
or is there something I'm missing out on here...
What's the "I ran amok in a luxury block" one? This sounds really good...
I cannot get the purchase site to work at all. Got the checkout page up once but so far it's like buying tickets for Glastonbury in terms of five minute waits followed by error screens...
is really good. I hope the album versions aren't spoiled with unnecesary string sections like the last couple of albums.
i thought it was a bit...not-great. If it was by any other band i'd probably not bother listening again.
seems to be working now, this song hasn't fucked up yet
NO! LET GRUFF SING! HE SIGNS FOR A REASON!
Shouldn't let the others near writing duties either.
those fucking strings again. Leave them alone!
No "Back On A Roll" ever again please. Although this doesn't sound QUITE as bad as that.
this is shit. Coating it in strings doesn't help either.
Cian is allowed to sing!
'It was a big fucking mountain'? Come on...
This sounds great, the bass-line is great, and it sounds immediately good!
It just lost its perfect 10 (so far) for me from that. Nobody but Gruff needs to sing in that band. Ever.
to actually buy it. It keeps taking about 2 mins to get through each page of the form, then eventually dies altogether and I have to start again.
Has anyone been able to buy the record or not?
and this one's good too
Not a good sign. Could this be On A Roll part 2?
I'm liking this one. Got a nice groove.
Sounds a bit throwaway so far
nice and catchy
The early tracks (from what I could hear) sounded better
But think it's been consistent and fun, will take time to make up my mind.
i just...guess i want them to do something astounding again. i don't want everything after Phantom Power to be like their post-Scary Monsters phase. After the second half of Where Do You Want To Go i think it would be great if they did another Welsh record. Or that techno album they've been threatening for years.
That was pretty immediately poppy, and Where Do You Wanna Go/Lliwiau Llachar sounds good. But yeah, nothing's really stood out yet.
All the interesting stuff was at the start - the last three songs have all been a bit throw-away, and SFA filler by numbers.
Pretty much my feelings.
When was the last time they were this riffy? It's really Krautrock - I like this one.
so maybe i'll change my mind when i get the album. i kind of want to say that it's sounded like Radiator B-sides mostly, but they were actually brilliant.
Credits suggests this'll be on DVD at some point. Also...look at that artwork! Uh...
over an hour now........?
about 15 mins or so.
my browser kept crashing! but i have managed to buy the album - downloading now...
Cardiff In The Sun, onwards without it cutting out.
I like what I've heard!
In spite of having the stream going in one window, and being able to contribute to this, hence there being no chance that my Internet connection isn't working, I am still utterly incapable of getting anywhere with buying the album. Rubbish.
is defo my favourite so far, kinda krautrock, kinda eastern.
with fellow fans.
enjoy the album
hopefully the album's a grower.
pric is awesome, though.
reminds me of "The Private Psychedelic Reel". A bit.
How have any of you managed it?
and in the meantime, just watch the video for Demons before it gets taken off youtube:
bought it yet. keeps crashing
The site just started working again for a minute or so. Allowed me to get part way through the registration process before dying again. Pile of crap.
Finally downloading it. Oh well, got there eventually.
crazy, crazy, naked giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirls
I have yet to hear it. Not really a massive fan of SFA but there you go.
