Im in the mood for it :)
+ the reviews I have seen for this record seem to suggest I will like it, checking it out
Perfect Saturday morning music as well.
props to you, the 3rd track (dont remember what it was called) really stood out for me :D will listen again later
It's always a winner. Also check out She Hangs Brightly if you liked that, I think STTIMS is better though.
Among My Swan is worth a listen and Hope Sandoval's solo record is different but utter genius.
in here http://drownedinsound.com/community/boards/music/4168900
and a load of ambient/droney dream pop in here
enjoy mr duck.
don't knock, it kicks ass.
As it's not I'll say Cocteau Twins and Slowdive.
Cocteau Twins are another band I need to check out, so on the list
Miracle Fortress - Five Roses
Au Revoir Simone - Verses of Comfort, Assurance & Salvation
Jesus & Mary Chain - Stoned & Dethroned
I'm pretty sure all of the above are on Spotify :)
When I'm in that sort of mood. Works a treat.
It's like a slightly sexy nap with a friend.
its really nice :) might put it on later, havent heard for agesss
A great way to describe that album. Especially as I thought she said "want your hot love" instead of "warm your heart, love" in 'Apple Orchard' for so long.
Just got/listening to Venice Is Sinking lp; tis very nice.
what David said.
also, Mew and Air Formation :)
I picked up Sleep/Holiday from Fopp for 3 poundses.
going on now
Especially the album On Fire.
dinosaur jr. or super chunk. noisy but nonetheless dreamy.
Especially Copacetic. It's what Asobi Seksu's third album should have sounded like, really.
Great Filipino band (seriously)
Anyone else like them?
Especially the final one "The Low Lows". And of course Barzin. Free track here:
but 1000 fireflies by the magnetic fields always sounds dreamy to me.
I'm not really an expert on dream-pop, its always seemed to me like one of those made-up genres.
A Sunny Day In Glasgow for sure! Best dream pop in 00s. Original and not copycat like many other shoegazers of this time.
Something else for your consideration: The Daysleepers
