I feel like its maybe an unsaid thing, i really like them.
so glad i randomly bought the photo album when it first came out here just 'cause it was on fierce panda.
I pretended not to like them because of the emo tag, fool me.
DiS even bothered to review Narrow Stairs. I started about five threads about it but nobody replied so I gave up.
Hey, I know it was great. Even Plans was great. Oh yes I love Death Cab.
Narrow Stairs is easily one of the best albums of 08`
if everyone liked the bands you liked instead, you'd have to find a whole set of new bands to like. you really want all that effort?
Just so people know what to expect here, it only seems fair.
and the sideburns Gibbard was sporting at Latitude were intolerable. But they have their moments...
but not really shout it from the rooftops love like there was a few years ago.
I thought Narrow Stairs was great.
But Narrow Stairs is lush and Cath is just a fucking tune.
one of my favourite bands. The Photo Album is best but Narrow Stairs is really great. <3 Grapevine Fires.
Transatlanticism, Plans and Narrow Stairs all have great tunes.
Lotta love for them.....
adores them something massive
i think they're dull
- to get to listen to them, but yes I definately like them.
Soul Meets Body is a classic song though, as is ill follow you into the dark
I like some of the older stuff but in a kind of lukewarm way.
I love listening to Transatlanticism and Plans, but mainly for the production; I think Chris Walla produces, and a damn fine job he does. These albums have a few great tunes: I Will Follow You Into the Dark, Summer Skin, A Lack of Color (sic).
Their last album was the epitome of meh.
but personally find their singer/lyrics a little overwrought and wet.
girls tend to like Death Cab an awful lot more than us males too, i dont really have a favourite album by them as it changes for too often.
your name suggested an innate sensitivity.
sorry I'm not approaching Death Cab armed with your fragile, beautiful, delicate soul.
I must be missing out on so much.
I've never really been able to get into Death Cab records that much its all a little bland. Plus I saw them live and they were so damn bad it kind of put me off them.
We Have The Facts And We're Voting Yes is one of my favourite albums ever.
(which are sometimes true), What Sarah Said is maybe one of the saddest songs that I've ever heard. And I mean that in a good way, if that's possible.
But Your New Twin Sized Bed is even sadder.
but I don't know if that's because I'm on DiS or not
how did you get on with Built to Spill?
