this. it's about making people happy, and it certainly does that!
was quite funny and the dancing donk girls video brought a tear to my eye.
stupid article though, does he expect those kids to be listening to classical, instead?
and hopefully poor diet will start to affect their reproduction and they'll all die off in a couple of generations.
I'm getting really tired of this trend whereby if people write 500 words just describing something, it somehow becomes reasoned criticism in the process. What have I actually learnt reading this? That Donk is some kind of music? That it was written about in The Guardian at some point? Big fucking whoop.
I'm guessing as the reader, we're expected to just listen to the guy ramble on misanthropically about how Donk is so, so shit and how it makes him so angry and somehow become angry ourselves, because after all - Donk IS really shit, right?
This article in the end, isn't about Donk or about the state of a certain part of music culture; it's about the writer and his tireless crusade not to educate or entertain, but to drown us all in his pointless mithering about stupid bullshit - because we really need to know that some minor sub-genre of dance makes him mad. By all means, have a moan, but make sure that moan masks a point about a wider issue, or is, at the very least, funny.
This page, accomplishing neither, is truly the Kissing-In-Kansas of blogs. It can get to fuck.
