Well, you probably can't order outside of France but 27 euros for 4 albums is a good deal, especially as Landscape and Carp are both ace bands !!!
So give them a listen :
Hardly a suprise...
But some people really might enjoy this bands !
you told us about albums we couldn't buy, and then gave links to bands without any description. I need a vague description before I click on a link, just for principles sake.
Landscape are doing quiet and complex post-rocky music, somewhere between Godspeed, Sigur Ros and Tindersticks.
Carp reminds me of Arab Strap and Tindersticks.
in any case !!!
a label not post records overseas. they just have to put them in the post, sma eas they would for sendign them anywhere.
no? yes? que?
but I suppose they would be glad to sent things everywhere. They just probably didn't expect to do it...
I'm not keen on people posting links of bands (either their own, or other bands), and not even the vaguest of description of them. Especially as it means that I have to stop listening to the (good) music (stuff I like already) that I'll no doubt be listening to. Although at least we have some overlap in taste, so I did know there was a chance I'd like it.
Incidentally, there was a new Radical Face/ Electric President type cd released recently, called Patients, where he made 100 copies, but exchanged it for things, instead of selling them. All gone now, but I was lucky enough to get one. Quite good, considering it's a bunch of various songs. Think I prefer it to the last EP album.
Anyhow. Landscape. Have only listened to a couple of songs, but sounds nice so far, and so have added on myspace. Sounded a bit like Syd Matters maybe.
Carp seem kind of similar, but they aren't interesting me that much at the moment. I'll add them just in case. They shall also go on my excel sheet of investigatees, but only as a rating of 6; whereas i kindly gave Landscape a 7.
More post-rocky than Syd Matters ( which vocals I can't stand actually ).
I suppose Carp works better as an album and after a few listens.
A Radical Face/ Electric President type cd !!!
I need that !
Both descriptions do sound good though.
