declare your love without shame..
now that everyone's come out of the pearl jam closet
when they became shit..but it is nice..and sad considering its inspiration
so I didn't really like Flood. At the time I would listen to any Radiohead rip-off band. I used to like them a lot at the time but I bet the album hasn't aged well. I even got that Balck Car solo album.
british band, right - late 90s?
...playing "Tourniquet" on TFI Friday and thinking it was ruddy awesome. I also recall The Montrose Avenue on there too. 'member them?
Tense nervous Head EP, Moment of Union EP, Flood and Despite Yourself! Great Essex boys. The keyboard player Nick now plays live with Mew.
But someone stole my copy of Flood. Wasn't the bass player called Clovis Dilweed?
Great band though, saw them at the sweaty old Saaafend Esplanade.
both albums are very good in my opinion
last i heard of bassist clovis was that he was working on london underground
I saw that TFI performance, they had to change the 'piss holes in the snow' line to 'pit holes' or soemthing like that.
The Black Car album was really nice. Frustrating as nothing came to back it up and Dan Glendining disappeared again.
He mentioned something about it when he supported Shawn Smith
i saw them at brixton academy in 1999. happy days.
please say this was supporting placebo or something rather than a headline gig!
for the sake of my own dignity i don't want to say who they were supporting but no doubt someone else will!
