Cold Pumas - 8.40pm
An Experiment On A Bird... - 9.30
Parts & Labor - 10.10pm
despite the weekend of tinnitus that surely awaits.
Safe to get a ticket on the door?
Should be fooking class!
...and say that if you like the likes of Ex Models, Can, This Heat or Fly Pan Am then you may enjoy the Cold Pumas. Get there early!
I can't wait for this.
anyone want to go for a drink near cargo beforehand? my friend bailed on me.
What time you getting there?
they've been superb both times I've seen them but I'm likely to lose my job next week :( feeding the family has to take a precedent over going to show and inevitably buying recievers and escapers 2 on vinyl, hope y'all enjoy!
If their guitarist sarah has her solo cd's on sale (under the name noveller) I recommend it lots, very dark earth-y fuckbuttons-y stuff
I really enjoyed the Sheffield gig last night and bought Map Maker & Stay Afraid from their stall, but I did not know about Sarah's solo work. I bet it's really good -she impressed me much.
Bought a nice T-shirt and got the poster as well :)
See em at ATP anyway, I guess. Great live, so go go go if you're dithering.
i've got a horrible headache though which will probably be made worse by tonight. goddamn.
don't think i can now. BAH.
but have just found out I might not be able to go (frown)
P&L tonight, The Flower Corsano Duo Friday and Sunn O))) on sunday.
see everyone there!
honestly can't wait to see them at atp.
A few of the melodic lines were lost under the sheer force of the drums and guitars, but had a very good time. Can't wait for ATP!
An Experiment on a Bird in a Fish Pump were. "Let's change instruments and singer between every song and show everyone we're multi-talented." How about you learn some more drum patterns and more than 3 chords you fucking helmets. Truly terrible band.
Parts & Labor were great. Wedding in a Wasteland, Nowhere's Nigh and Gold We're Digging were all brilliant. I can't believe they finnished with Changing of the Guard. Nice little surrpise, that one. 45 minutes of bliss.
Managed to avoid making my tinnitus any worse with my first ever use of ear plugs. What a great idea they are.
one of the best gigs I've been to in a while. Really uplifting and good fun. Thought the vocals were a bit high in the mix on some tracks, drummer was amazing and very fit guitarist too. Cracking gig.
he belonged in a solicitors office or something. But, I concur, his skills were very impressive.
BJ Warshaw from P&L will be bringing his Shooting Spires project to these shores in a couple of weeks...
