Its on efestivals.co.uk, and that's always right!
Agent confirmed it yesterday.
...think a lot of people are gonna be pissed off, not exactly 'rock' is it? Green Day, AC/DC would've made sense for the Sunday.
I saw they were a strong rumour on efests but still found it hard to believe.
Arctic monkeys and KOL is a bit boring but radiohead will make the whole thing worthwhile!
... thought AC/DC were a dead cert though-never mind, havent seen radiohead before so that'll be good
what agent is that? is that a reading booking agent? if it true, i would be ecstatic.
on a scale of 1-10, how woudl you rate his reliability?
i don't care either way but it makes them look a little silly.
It doesn't get more corporate than that.
O2 Wireless Festival
AC/DC, Blink 182, Limp Bizkit, My Chemical Romance whatever.
none of arctic monkeys, kol or radiohead could headline the rock day. blink 182 would seem an obvious choice to me.
travis manics and eminem in 2001
I really cant see radiohead playing however amazing It would be.
Would arctic monkeys and KOL both headline?
That makes like 4 headliners including acdc?
arctic monkeys and KOL are both headlining-prob the monkeys friday and kings Saturday
mustve come to the conclusion that Radiohead are so admired by literally everyone that they could headline the 'rock' day-wouldnt surprise me if someone like Blink are on before them, ridiculous as that may sound
aint doing it. I think thats been caterogorically ruled out by all!
the guy on efestivals says that reading couldn't get them or green day. they obviously went back to radiohead with more money.
radiohead will be amazing!
ACDC headlining the rock night,
KOL /arctic monkeys double headliner saturday night
and radiohead to close
would be pretty good?
is three headliners I would really like to see. I won't be going though, so never mind.
I'll eat my face
with KOL as overall headliners. They're too similar to do two seperate nights in terms of fanbase I reckon.
arctic monkeys / kings of leon / radiohead
would be mighty impressive. i reckon i'd go despite vowing never to again after getting caught up in last years riots.
what are people thinking for second from top?
Friday Saturday Sunday
Arctic Monkeys Kings Of Leon Radiohead
Franz Ferdinand Kaiser Chiefs Blink 182/Weezer?
As i'm not paying £50+ just for them at a gig. A festival would be more suitable
I'm thinkin Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Glasvegas for the NME, Animal Collective for the third tent? Bon Iver? Fingers crossed!
i would think
have Radiohead been ignoring Glasto. Last year they said they wouldnt play as it wasnt enviromentally friendly enough, now theyre playing reading? Surely thats no better if not worse? Radiohead seemed to be the quintasential Glastonbury band of recent times until this album.
it does however have the largest tent house emmisions on the plannet
but I really hope Artic Monkeys is wrong. Fingers still crossed for AC/DC. Sunday night headliners can't be KOL, Artic Monkeys OR Radiohead, no-one of them fit the bill for the rock day. At present Glasto is looking more appealing.
are the worst band ever. Radiohead aren't bad though but I don't think Arctic Monkeys have a strong enough back catalogue to headline a festival.
will have a new album out by August, I'm assuming.
They can sell out their own stadium gigs and have a massive stage show
nor do 'tallica!
And surely the organisers wouldn't let ACDC go? They self confirmed themselves and they would suit the rock day perfectly
Arctic Monkeys and KoL will be terrible.. I hope they're on the same day. KoL second to top, just like when Razorlight headlined. That way the festival isn't dominated by 2 pretty similiar bands
reading and leeds are shit festivals.
according to the owner of eFestivals... which means they are playing basically. sweet.
i dont want to get excited by it if they dont play
posted it in the forums about an hour ago. he is basically always right, the sites been going for 10+ years and he has loads of contacts.
looks like (reading) arctic monkeys / kings of leon / radiohead.
i've been listening to from the basement and the 'Nigel' mix from berlin 2000 ALL weekend!
I really swore last year would be my last Leeds, but seeing Head at a festival is just too good a chance to miss. And I'm not happy and I'm not sad.
I will be very upset!
Very excited about this at the moment though!
to be fair its not confirmed until its on the yellow poster, but fingers crossed eh
going to have to go through the ordeal of getting tickets now.
