Can be old or new, but must have nice melodies and either indie, folk, rock or even pop.
Superchunk 'No Pocky for Kitty'
Whipping Boy 'Heartworm'
Archers of Loaf 'Icky Mettle'
Pavement 'Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain'
Marion 'This World and Body'
Luscious Jackson 'Fever In, Fever Out'
Veruca Salt 'American Thighs'
The Lemonheads 'Come On Feel' and 'It's a Shame About Ray'
Johnny Foreigner 'Waited Up Til' It Was Light'
Meneguar 'I was Born at Night' and 'Strangers in Our House'
I already love Pavement and The Lemonheads...
I'm 29 so all but the last two bands on that list remind me of being 14 and running to the corner shop to buy Melody Maker!
They're pretty good. You have a cool name.
and then Black Love is the bitter revenge epic. Such an intense band.
Thanks, it's my silly West Country pun. :p

I went out with a guy from Trowbridge and he sounded like a farmer. Well his dad was a farmer...
See also: Warminster, Frome, Tidworth, Dorchester, Blandford and well........90% of the West Country!
and stare at passing aircraft which are doubtless referred to colloquially as 'Iron Eagles'.
It did seem weird that there was hardly any form of entertainment there. Must have been awful for them when they lost woolies, hardly any shops there now. I'm listening to Meneguar now on myspace. Pretty damn good...
I know what you mean, I grew up in towns like that and there really wasn't much to do. A combination of skateboarding, reading and South West Trains' somewhat cavalier approach to ticket collecting saved me from death by no adventure.
Right, I must get to sleep. I have to attend a meeting on the future of the National Probation Service tomorrow (Job Cuts! Hiring Freeze! Career Ladder Totally Buggered For Years!) and then go visit some heroin enthusiasts. Yippee!
If you like The Smiths and electro and all girl bands......and all that at the same time then you'll love this wonderful album.
Brother is pretty good. I don't really like The Smiths apart from a few songs. I find them a bit monotonous...
