Who's going? I'm really excited about this one!
I’m not sure what time I’ll be getting there, as I’m meant to be dropping in on a friend’s album launch beforehand (if anyone fancies going to a free show, it’s Bleeding Heart Narrative, on a boat - El Barco - at Temple pier), but I will definitely be in attendance. I will be the guy handing out flyers for our Action Beat/Maths Class/Don Vito show on the 20th. Feel free to say hello.
I feel a bit ill and I've seen them before - trying to cut down on seeing bands repeatedly.
times something like this:
Gentle Friendly - 8pm
Future islands - 9pm
Ponytail - 9.50pm
Shame it was so short, but absolutely fantastic otherwise!
but Future Islands were fun and Ponytail were great, if incredibly brief. Not sure that the short sets it justified charging £10 on the door, but hey ho, it's the first Upset The Rhythm show that I've been to that hasn't overrun horribly.
which is exactly what I want from a band. Shame you couldn't hear Dustin's guitar for like the first three songs, but otherwise they were totally rad.
Nicely punctual too.
That guy jumping around in the checked shirt was odd.
i thought any longer would have been too long. any band (apart from stadium behemoths) that plays over 30/40 mins is intensely dull.
I suspect they attract lots of tourists.
Me and my friend both have mild whiplash from dancing so much.
Don't think it was 'officially' an utr gig, just heavily endorsed - don't know why that matters..
with it being an UTR gig be that it would be cheaper, as they tend to be very reasonably priced.
i grinned throughout the Ponytail concert. Lots of fun. Seems like they're on in Madrid next week when I'm there - will endeavour to poke my head in.
Gentle Friendly played for about 15 minutes.
