Still - GREAT record.
wholeheartedly. fucking brilliant band.
you've made me the happiest man
if it can even dare to be mentioned in the same sentence as albums 2 + 3.
Need. It. Now.
out in 3 weeks! and looks like the first pressing comes with a DVD!
looks awesome! im getting this album even if it turns out to be bad just for that dvd
That cover art is brilliant too. Nice one conrad.
on record and live. They're just purely excellent. Everyone panned their last album but I loved it.
Anyway, cannot wait. Yes, everyone is saying it's going to be brilliant. Fingers crossed then!
I am really excited to hear it now!
I will personally hunt you down and poo on your hair.
was not toss. Get over yourself.
SO looking forward to that tour now. If they tore shit up touring the mess that was So Divided, I can only imagine what they'll be like with a good album behind them.
'worlds apart' that tour was immense.
So Divided is an OK album.
Two Rock Facts.
it was the lp after where they totally lost the plot.
Looking forward to the new lp. Might order it now !
liked so divided
i think a lot of the hatred for that album is because the other albums before it were so much better and a lot of people felt let down when they released that . i remember hearing it and thinking to myself 'how the hell are they gonna smash stuff up to this???'
I'll be so happy.
Don't toy with me.
No dreadful video game artwork this time either! Hooray!
in an awesome way
and probably most of my mates' day too. :)
boringface. Their last EP thing was ace, though, so EXCITEMENTS for this.
and the fact that MD says the new one is good has got me in full faith that it's going to be rad
for this record too, lost interest after world's apart a bit. at first i loved it but i got bored of it very quickly compared to STAC, which i still play.
fingers crossed and ears primed!
knowing how much you like Trail of Dead. Is it anything like Source Tags & Codes or Worlds Apart? I like those ones. Forget that, I'm hoping that it doesn't sound like anything they've done before.
Was an okay review - not your best work Mike (you usually do awesome wtf) - but so glad to hear about ToD back in form.
Can't wait to catch them later on this year, no matter how naff so divided was, they still didn't disappoint live.
The recent EP was promising, the lead track off that was aceness.
I was going to review this but then they ran out of promos. Pissed me right off, that did.
It sounds really assured, confident and optimistic - everything I didn't expect the band could muster after the last two albums. I'm very happy with it!
Although I have ignored they exist since Source Tags (aside from their brilliant ATP set) due to the last few records if this really is a return to form for both the best live band on the planet and the band responsible for three truly breathtaking records and much teenage happiness I will be a very very happy person.
Source Tags & Codes isn't as classic as most seem to think. The Secret of Elena's Tomb was their best, but World's Apart is next in line.
A little more blister and noise with Worlds Apart would be perfect.
is very good news indeed if true.
and their notts show in april, ticket arrived yesterday :-) it's been entirely too long since i last saw them live.
on first listen !
I'm really eager to hear it, but want to hear it all in one go, as some have said it's one of 'those albums' that flows as one.
Conrad is certainly a very taleneted guy. x
Last one was crap, but i think most folk would agree with that. Im sure they've got it in them still to write some good tunes.
