get the pre-radio recordings off kong, send them to me, i'll keep going on about how much i love both kong and brew on DiS and other places.
love, ryan (of superted avatar normally) x
i'll try. Bad news though the session isn't getting broadcast now and Dan Carter is snowed in and can't get to the studio.
good news and bad news then.
mostly bad, the airwaves need more of jon-lee's nonsense.
but for some reason it wern easy to to gave up, i dont know this is a new session though
Kong are a few members of Oceansize, yeah?
jon-lee, who used to be in Fi-Lo Radio and has done a load of other stuff too.
Thursday I believe. Anyone wanna come see them with me?
Buffalo Bar right?
Think it's worth getting tickets in advance. I'd be up for meeting up for a beer first if any fellows DiSsers are going solo and want some companionship.
I don't bite, and only talk about how much I miss Arab Strap 24% of my waking life...
so will certainly be going. Maybe meet in the Hope & Anchor up the road first? Well I'll probably head up there after work for a pint or 2 if anybody fancies it prior to the rock show.
They are on at 9.45pm as the gig is having to run a bit earlier.
Bless you all
being broadcast on Tuesday morning between 12am-2am.
I still haven't ordered one yet...
come on man, save yourself a pound!
I was just worried it might not get to me in time. Then I saw it seems to be an online ticket.
Cool, talk to you folks nearer the time about a beer...
Just that I notice the supports have canceled?
NEW INFO FOR PLAN B GIG ON THURSDAY BELOW...
The Buffalo Bar, London
Taped and masked Mancunian overlords of brutalist post-hardcore prog punk, a la Fugazi, early Nirvana and fellow White Drugs labelmates The Bronx, return to London in support of new single 'Leather Penny', the CD version of which includes b-side 'Count Too Nine' and features Future Of The Left's Andrew Falkous and The Bronx's Matt Caughthran. http://www.myspace.com/kongdom
Unfortunately, Factory Floor and Universal Orders are no longer playing, but, fear not, they have been replaced by the noise/improv non-dimensional time rabbits SLOPPY SECONDS. www.myspace.com/sloppysecondsbanned
More events and information and stuff here. http://www.myspace.com/planbmagazineevents
I think doors are at 7.30pm.
This is tonight yus. Whats the plan? I wont be back from work till about 6.
Well shall we meet for a beer first? I can finish work at 6 and then it'll take me about 40-50 minutes to get over to the Highbury area. Any good boozers around there?
I'll be in the Hope and Anchor which is alright just up the road, it's about a 2/3 minute walk if you turn right outside Highbury tube.
To save me looking like some sort of lost sheep upon arrival?
:) see you there.
And nice to meet you two (three) at the gig.
Anyone else go? You ought to have done...
Though that support band was the most horrendously pretentious thing I've ever endured in my life.
a good gig for them kongers? I do worry about them.
