'be the one' or something?
Also, I like the girl's hat.
Although I had to check whether this thread had been bumped from a year ago.
like nails on a chalkboard to me now, I honestly don't understand why they're popular.
We walk, do do do.
I hate them but in essence I dont mind them that much. Just cheesy pop music, heavily overrated in my opinion though. I seen them supporting Reverend & The Makers about 2 years ago, and The Cribs last year. Shite live like.
Bu there not exactly my cup of tea.
In that case:
Dear Katie White from The Tings Tings,
If you can prove to be that you are under 30, I will eat your muff. Send me a PM if you're up for it.
Lots of love,
Zapsta from Drowned in Sound xxx
PS - please ignore my earlier comment about your face; I was just trying to look cool in front of other people from the internet.
I feel for you
you never became successful in the first place.
However I don't really get the whole Tings Tings hate either.
Sure, I don't listen to their music 24/7 and can relate to working with lots of people who have caned their music thinking it to be postmodern, but I'd rather one of their songs came on in a club at 12am than anything by The Stone Roses, The Smiths, The Killers, etc
Also, I thought it was "They call me 'Her'"?
They call me Stace-y, they call me her, they call me Jane...
Like the computer.
i love them. they're so great. maybe gonna see them live next month.
Love 'em, that is. "Fruit Machine" made my list of top ten favourite songs o' last year.
Hm. I think I might slip the album on once Fever Ray finishes up -- will make for a nice juxtaposition, I reckon.
is that they'll never write a song as good as this:
(this is in my autofill now)
with some corking singles, and only a couple of duff tracks. They are excellent fun live and I enjoyed seeing them immensely.
Aside from that, even if you're not a fan, they serve an excellent purpose as a gateway drug/band.
File under: Calvin Harris, Mylo etc as thoroughly decent spiky-dance-pop-indie-whatever.
And for what it's worth (i.e. next to nowt) anyone who reckons Katie White is anything less than a looker is desperately trying to prove something and should probably get out more. Wiki says she's 27. I can buy that (although meh if I'm wrong).
Thanks for reading.
did he ever destroy rock n roll?
Nice work if you can get it, I guess.
I'm looking forward to the new album, which is, shirley, due out in only a matter of weeks.
Which makes me think of Annie Nightingale, too old for this shit, surrounded by e-heads and talking about techno
Which makes me sad :(
