Can only get there for around 9/9.30, any idea when Mr Mcguire will be performing?
Thanks for putting it on!
The first 'song' in particular was brilliant.
Did anyone get that Skyramps cd there or at an Emeralds gig? That shit is bananas I have to say.
It sounds amazing on big headphones.
The dream team album, its really good, if I had a bit more lolly I would've got the other one too. Me and my friend got really delayed by the trains, we arrived just as he was finishing :( Same thing happened when I went to see Emeralds last week, shitty coincidences.
It's really cool. Thanks (I think! I spent a bit more money) to Alt Vinyl for buying up copies of everything they had. Sort of reminds me of My Bloody Valentine. That's really shite about the trains. I'm glad I live in Glasgow at the mo. If I was in Newcastle I bet I would've ended up missing whoever was on last too. I 'reviewed' Skyramps on me shitty blog
Worth grabbing if you can find it!
That's a really, really cool track...I was gonna say it sounds like Neu!, but then that massive synth/guitar(?) part comes in and it just kind of goes skyward from there. Amazing.
on another tape he sounds a bit like the guy from Ash Ra Tempel but other parts come in to make it sound like his own. Oneohtrix Point Never is cool too, synth only but he has a really cool tape that you can listen to on last.fm
Then everything on Young Tapes is awesome too afaik...it just spirals outwards into 'too much music' I guess but look out for tapes from them if you can. If only for the artwork/aesthetic/whateveryoucallit! It's amazing.
any idea where I might be able to find a copy?
