is something that I would like to do. where is the best place to go about this? TAR
wordpress looks really good though as well, you can kind of get them to look like you want with either though its all pretty easy to use.
I wish I could be arsed to make mine look a bit more profesional.
it looks a lot nicer than blogspot and you can customise it a hell of a lot.
i endorse them lots
are pretty good. What's the advantages of doing the whole Dreamweaver thing from scratch besides a little added flexibility (explain to me some of these flexibility things that are so great, please)? I mean, could DiS or Pitchfork be run as effectively from a template?
(I'm just learning the Adobe products, and they are completely bitchin but why bother if Wordpress has already got things all figured out, eh?)
you'll never update it. wordpress is so quick and easy that you can bang in a post, press submit and it's up. with html you'll have to type into a dreamweaver page, save, ftp and then hope it's all looking/working ok.
the advantage of wordpress is that you can buy your own domain and host it all, plus it has loads of themes and can be tweaked.
Not knowing any better, I manually updated my site using frontpage for two years. One new review on the site used to mean updating the homepage, the archive page and the reviews page. It's all done by wordpress now, fully automatic.
I use it, and it can be as easy or as difficult as you like. You can see what people have done with Wordpress here: http://wordpress.org/showcase/
Anyone have any idea what DiS uses, if any? It seems very familiar to Wordpress...
